I got up from the seat nearest to the pickup station just as the man who had been glaring at me for taking the seat sat down and growled as I walked away.
Sorry bro, but I just had a two hour chemistry test that I studied for ALL night, I deserve that seat.
I took my to go paper bag and walked out the door, just as Eli honks the ratchet car that I have to call mine.
"CHI CHI NUGGETS!!!" Eli screeches as I cringe from how loud he is.
I slowly go to the nearest trash can that was outside of the store and hovered the bag above it, and gave him a look as I threatened to throw his precious chicken nuggets away.
A look of heartbreak came over his face before he climbed out of the car and slowly made his way over to me and held up his pointer finger to me.
"Don't do it sissy. You'll regret ever messing with me and my chi chi." he threatened back with the lowest voice he could and him attempting to do a stink eye, but just ended up to his eyes twitching.
I roll my eyes and give him the bag. The second he gets a hold of the bag, he gives me the biggest smile.
"Step one of making her my servant, Complete." He says, as I scowl.
I smack the back of his head as I lift him up to get in the car.
"Women." He says as he shakes his head.
I smile as I make sure he's all buckled up and get in the drivers seat.
"So how was school today munchkin?" I ask as I take a piece of gum out before plopping it into my mouth.
"Oh my god, don't even get me started." He says as he held both of this hands up.
"Oh I don't know how I could." I murmur annoyed as I get out my phone to record everything he says.
I like recording everything Eli says and looking back. It's fun to see how different he talked before or what he talked about. He's an adorable kid and everyone loves him, and just as you expected, he's a talker.
I hit the record button just in time for his daily gossip.
"Oli got a girlfriend today so I wanted one to. So I found a girl named Emmy and told her I was in love with her, and she hugged me and said she was in love with me too!" He exclaimed.
Damn. It's that easy for them, huh?
"That's great munchkin." I murmur as I change lanes.
"But Sae! I haven't even gotten to the important part yet!" He whines.
"Oh great." I whisper sarcastically.
"So I sit with Oli and Emmy at lunch. And it's going great! In fact, Mrs.Johnson the lunch lady gave me an extra carrot! But anyway, you know the really really good breadsticks in the school lunch that they only give ONCE a month?" He asks, eyeing me like I better know what he's talking about.
"Yes Eli, you talk about them all the time."
He seriously does. He nags Ma to make it for him all the time. Ma always wanted to make him happy when it comes to food so she got cooking the breadsticks right away. As soon as he took a bite of Ma's breadsticks, he shook his head at Ma and told her that she tried her best and that he would ask Mrs.Johnson for the recipe.
"Well Sae, you HAVE to try them. They are to die for. But anyway, you know what Emmy did?"
I gasp over dramatically as I already know what crime Oli's girlfriend committed.
