THE UNSPOKEN chapter 1

~~~Chapter 1~~~

I woke up to a sudden shudder of my body.

"Alice wake up look around!"

"What"

I said groggily then I saw what she was talking about. We were not in our regular yellow and orange hotel room but what looked like the trunk of an SUV. Jamie then started to cry. I could only hear a little of what she was saying

"- why us, how did they even find us?"

Three years back Jamie and I had escaped from my older brother's house, it was more like a prison. Jamie was a maid working for money, and we became friends. My brother didn't like this and told Jamie to stay away from me. So she told me she was going to run away so I came along to. They must have found us in Utah. I swore under my breath.

An angry voice barked "be quiet."

Then there was a loud screech and the van stopped too quickly to react and I slammed into the back of the seat, Jamie landed on me. The trunk opened and a guy with blonde hair and green eyes appeared, Mason. There was another guy behind him but I didn't acknowledge him. I jumped out and hugged mason. Mason was a neighbor I had met in Utah. Jamie didn't like him as much as I did. But she still appreciated that he came to our rescue.

"Hey Mason" Jamie said as she sprang out of the car.

"Let's go now that we got you two out of there"

"Not without your keys Mase", I said pointedly. The guy behind Mason was chuckling because, surely he saw me take his keys while I was hugging him.

"Not funny, Alice give me my keys back." Mason growled.

"Not until you say I can drive" I shot back.

"Okay fine!"

"Umm Mason you forget to introduce your friend here." Jamie said in awe of his jet black hair like mine except mine had a tint of red.

"Oh, that's Cam." Forgetting that he was there. Then we set off to wherever Mason had in store for us. The car ride was quiet but we had the radio on our favorite station Q102.When we got there, Cam ran inside calling some names. I was walking out of the car when I saw something coming straight at us. Mason saw it to and went in front of me. The figure stopped right in front of us. It was a girl with short blonde hair down to her neck and crystal blue eyes. Mason started to argue with her. It was a fight he was surely winning. Finally the girl stopped arguing knowing she had lost.

"Hello I'm Izzy." Her eyes were on the ground.

"Hey Izzy, I'm Jamie and this is Alice." Jamie said trying to take some tension away.

"Now that you know each other can we go inside?" Mason said.

"But Mason they're not one of us..." the whine in Izzy voice caught me off guard.

"No, Izzy they are."

"What are you guys talking about?" clearly annoyed, Jamie said. Then Cam came back and said

"We got there rooms ready." In a cheerful voice. Everyone stared at him.

"What?"

We walked in; the room looked like a fairy tail. A small fireplace, three stained glass windows of three different animals a wolf, a cat, and a fox. The oak wood floor was so clean you could see sparkles dancing around it. But the place itself put you in awe of how old it probably was. Jamie spoke up.

"so whose we?"

"You'll find out at the ceremony." Izzy said with great disgust

"well if you can take the test." "A t-test but for what? Mason what's going on?" Jamie said afraid of what he'll say.
