**Elise's POV**
We walked into a crowded cafeteria. There werer brilliantly white marble pillars everywhere, the glass roof soaring into the blue sky above. It was magnificent.
"Don't get a Charlie Horse from looking up too long, Lo. Believe me you will, and I say that from experience." Parker said to me.
"Don't call me Lo! My name is Elise, not Lotus Elise, not Lotus, NOT LO, just Elise." I said.
"Whatever you say, Lo," Parker said as if he hadn't even been listening to me. I grit my teeth in frustration, my face scrunching up. Parker laughed at me. "Seriously, Lo, it's okay. Now what do you want for lunch? There's pizza, sandwiches, tacos, salad...."
"I'm not hungry." I replied.
"Yes you are."
"No, I'm really not."
"You are a horrible liar."
"So?"
"Okay, well we'll just get some tacos then."
"Salad."
"Fine, salad." Parker grabbed my hand again and pulled me through, cutting in the line to where the trays were. There were some complaints, but they stopped when they saw I was with him. Whatever. I didn't even care.
Parker handed me the tray and started to walk along the line, putting his salad in his bowl and then choosing ham, boiled eggs, and cheese on his salad. I followed him, choosing only olives and croutons to go on my green salad.
When we got to the end of the line, Parker started talking to the lunch lady at the end, telling her that I was with him and that I didn't need to pay. He turned to me, putting a juice and 2 cookies on my tray. We walked to a table with a bunch of, what looked to me, jockies. I groaned internally. There were even cheerleaders at the table.
"Parker!" They all yelled when he sat down. He motioned for me to take the spot next to him. Seeing no other better choice, I took the spot, next to not only Parker but a big, muscle built guy.
"Everyone, this is Lo. Lo, this is Gena, Carlie, Payson, Jerry, Austin, and Jordan." Parker told me, pointing to each one of them. Gena was a stick skinny girl, wearing a tight cheerleading uniform with bright green eyes and auburn hair. Carlie was a brunette with chocolatey brown eyes, creamy as frosting, her red cheerleading uniform making her look extremely gorgeous. Payson had a strong build to her, and also had a cheerleading uniform on, her grayish blue eyes staring at me curiously, as if they were trying to bore into my soul. They all smiled prettily at me.
Jerry was obviously a star football player, his muscles fitted strongly against his arm. His dark brown hair was in a low fohawk, giving his dark green eyes a certain mystery. Austin had black hair, with blue eyes, dark as the ocean, his strong build seemed a little more awkward to me though. And Jordan was the guy I was sitting next to. He could easily take down Jerry in size, and obviously could be a huge threat in any situation of strength. His hair was a mellow blond, with a brownish tint to it. His eyes were hazel, rimmed with gold inside of them.
"Hi." I said to everyone. I could hardly breath, my breaths coming in and out sharply. Parker grabbed my hand, rubbing it with his thumb to calm me. My heart stuttered, starting to calm down. I smiled, feeling a rush of confidence again. "And my name isn't Lo, it's Elise."
"Like the car, Lotus Elise?" Jerry asked. I groaned.
"Yeah."
"Sweet. Are you coming to the game today, Lo?"
"Umm..."
"You better be. Your boyfriend is the starting quarterback." Austin said.
"He isn't my boyfriend." Everyone 'oooed' Parker.
"You just got burned, Bro!" Austin said to Parker. I smiled, everyone laughing.
"It's okay. We just don't know each other that well yet...." Parker smiled and winked at me. I set my jaw firmly.
"And we probably never will know each other the way you want us to know each other." I replied.
"Oh don't doubt my abilities!" Parker said.
"Too late." I smiled, trying to annoy him.
"You are SO going to get it."
"Right. Just like I get why I am here." There was a silence. Everyone at the table looked at me, and then at parker.
"Bro, you haven't told her why she's here?" Austin asked.
"Well..." Parker scratched the back of his head. "Not exactly."
"We can tell her!" Carlie said, motioning to the other girls.
"No, I'll tell her after lunch." Parker replied.
"Well, I'm done so now you can tell me!" I said.
"No."
"But I'm finished."
"Fine. Let's go." Parker stood up, grabbing his tray. I did the same and followed him to the garbage cans and dumped the trash on my tray, placing my tray in a pile.
Parker grabbed my hand, rushing me up the stairs and into the room I had woken up in.
"What the heck?" I asked.
"Do you want to know why you're here?" Parker boomed.
"Yes."
"Then be quiet and don't interrupt me as I explain. Save your questions until I ask for them, do you understand?" I nodded my head, not wanting to be yelled at again. "Good. Okay here we go."
