Chapter VIII || The Return

You wake up suddenly to the sound of beeping. You check the time. 8:13 you read. SHOOT NOT AGAIN! You turn off your alarm and quickly get dressed. You then burst out, practically falling down the stairs, grab a granola bar, and dash out the door, giving doggo some headpats. You run even faster than yesterday, and don't stop for a breath when you reach the school lobby. You sprint to your classroom as fast as you can and sit down in your seat, DYING of exhaustion. Y'know, the usual drill. You don't even feel hungry anymore. 8:20 Man, just barely made it. You knew that you were going to be going to the dark world with Kris and Susie again, but you didn't want to be counted late. Though, ditching isn't really much better now that you think about it. You shrug, and wait for Ms. Alphys to arrive. 

One she does, you raise your hand for the bathroom, and she lets you go—though you wonder why she would if you never came back yesterday. 

Once outside of the classroom you run over to the supply closet and find Kris and Susie there waiting for you. The only thing on your mind is meeting up with Rouxls and Lancer again. You just couldn't resist the thought of the smol blueberry child running up to you, hugging you, and calling you his "lesser mom". You invited the thought of the tall, handsome shopkeeper welcoming you back with open arms. What am I thinking?? I hardly know this guy, why am I so... flustered over him??? You ask yourself. He probably doesn't even like me either... we JUST MET yesterday! 

"Y/N!" You snap back to reality to hear Susie screaming for your attention.

"H-huh??" You stutter, stunned and dazed from being awoken from your daydreaming.

"Are you coming or not?" Susie slightly growls at you.

"Oh! Yeah!" You tread up to meet Susie and Kris inside the suplly closet. 

Just like yesterday, the door closes behind you, the floor gives out from under you, and you fall. You forgot about that part. You stumble a bit, and still fall over in a harsh landing.

"Ow..." you rub your head, the purple glitter flecking off. Right. You were in this new... form? You're not really sure what to call it. You get up, dusting yourself off, causing more glitter to flitter to the ground. You walk over to Kris and Susie and begin to walk with them for a bit.

You've been walking for some time when you see Lancer, running to your group in the distance. Susie lights up, but surprisingly, rather than running to Susie, he runs to you, right into your arms.

"Lesser mom!" He giggles. "You're finally back!" You're slightly stunned, but you giggle too, hugging Lancer and picking him up off the ground. 

"Of course! I couldn't just leave you here alone!"

"I wasn't alone, lesser mom! I was with lesser dad, remember?" Lancer reminds you of Rouxls, who you had forgotten about somehow.

"Oh, yes, that's right." You look up to see Susie glaring angrily down at you. You tense up a bit. "Did... I do something wrong?" You ask, confused. Susie just growls in response. When Lancer looks over at her, however, she smiles. She continues to scowl at you when he turns away. Lancer tugs at your sleeve.

"Let's go find lesser dad!" He hops down, pulling you along with him. You wave goodbye to Kris and Susie as you run ahead with Lancer.

{I exist again! Yaaay! Auuugh I have been working on this chapter for SOOO long. It's finally here! Sorry it's a little shorter than I would've liked, but I just wanted to get a chapter out already! I have kept you all waiting for too long! Well, anyways, I hope you enjoy this VERY overdue chapter! I'll try to be more active! —Kawaii ＾◡＾♡}
