"Hi." I interrupted two boys that were standing in front of the senior doors."Hey." One of them smiled at me. "What's up?"
I laughed. "You're kinda standing in front of the senior doors."
"Ohhh yeah." The curly-headed boy laughed. "Sorry about that."
"No problem." I smiled. "I'm new, my name is magnolia, but you can call me Lia."
"I'm Cory, and this is Shawn." Cory pointed to his friend with a goofy smile on his face.
"I'll see you, boys, around."

I was chilling at this place called cubbies, I think, when a familiar face walked in. "Cory," I called him over with a smile.
"Oh, hey Lia." He slides into the booth with his friend following him. "This is my girlfriend, Topanga, girlfriend; this is my new friend, magnolia."
"It's nice to meet you." I gave her a huge smile.
"You too, magnolia."
"Please call me Lia." I glanced back at Cory. "What's up?"
"My brother, Eric, moved back into my room, so I'm trying to find him a nice roommate so he'll leave."
"Not a big fan?" I questioned, not fully understand the situation.
"He's just got this great opportunity to be out of the house,-"
"And let me guess, you had big plans?"
"Bingo," Topanga chimed in.
"Maybe someone will just come in and announce it" I looked over at two boys heading in. "Maybe they will need a roommate."
"Very helpful" Cory rolled his eyes.
"Hello! We are new into and going to pennbrook. Just got a four-bedroom apartment and looking for roommates."
Topanga and I shared a look of shock and confusion.
"You are magical, Lia! Wait until Shawn hears about this" Cory jumps up in excitement.
" I have to go, but it was nice meeting you! I was worried I wasn't going to make any friends."
"Well, I'm glad to be considered a friend."

"Aunt Tessa!" I called out as I entered our apartment. "I'm home."
"Hey, sweetie," she kissed my head. " I'm sorry I wasn't around this morning, duty called"
"It's okay" I poured myself some tea. "I know how much you've been studying lately."
"Yes, and I'm very sorry about that too. My final exam is-"
"I know, and you must pass." She just rolled her eyes. " I'm okay with it. Really. I mean, I'm lucky mom had you down as my godmother or."
" I know it's going to be hard being away from your siblings and everything, but trust me, it's for the best."
" I know." I started to head towards my room, but a knock on the door stopped me.
"Hi." A guy maybe around my age stood in front of me.
"Hi," I smiled to be polite. "Can I help you?"
"Sorry, I just moved across from you," he chuckled lightly, and that's when I recognized him. He was one of the guys who needed a roommate.
"I would say welcome, but I just moved here a week ago."
"Well, I don't want to keep you, but some of your mail accidentally got mixed in with ours."
"Thank you-"
