Xena's P.O.V

"And those were my top three favourite Netflix shows of all time. Bye guys, X signing out." I peaced to the camera and turned it off, running downstairs.

My family stared at me mouths dropped. I slapped my forehead killing whatever they were looking at.

"What is it, there's nothing on my head so why are you all looking at me like that?"

"Your...famous." My brother said while standing up slowly.

This was not the first time I was hearing this. My family likes to praise me on every video I make, even if I only get a few hundred views.

It had taken me months to get 300 subscribers, most of them being my relatives, so what I did not understand was why my family looked so serious when repeating one of their common phrases.

"That's sweet and all but I haven't hit my five minutes of fame, or whatever you call it, just yet." I scoffed while grabbing a grape from the fruit bowl.

"X...your on television." My mum said shaking my arm.

Wondering when she even stood next to me, I turned my attention to the television. Surely enough my face was on the telly.
Bloody hell that was a horrible picture.

I ran to the middle of the couch diving into my sofa. My eyes wide and ready to hear what media had to say about me.

"Xena Bailey's address leaked via ex best friend. Although she is a rising star, this piece of crucial information has seemed to cause an increase in her subscribers and a new trend has risen on Twitter called #bailey"s backyard." The news reporter continuing babbling on about how much my life was going to suck.

How could Olive do this to me. I get that she hated my guts but this was low.
I would have to leave my home. Eastbourne.

Where would I even go? I have relatives everywhere but they don't know me like that. They couldn't help.

Then I remembered. Vancouver. The one place I would go if I ever became extremely famous.

Canada seemed quiet in the films and it seemed like positivity thrived through the place.

I had my mind made up.

It was time for me to go to Vancouver.

2 weeks later

Today couldn't have come any sooner. These past two weeks have been pure hell.
Ever since my address was leaked, people started to watch my videos more but also, stalk me more.
It was like this singular piece of information caused a frenzy on social media.
It was terrifying.

I had closed off most of my families debts and told them of my plans to move them all to Vancouver.

They didn't really object as they had seen the hardships I faced these two weeks.

I went to school on the first week and was bombarded with paparazzi and random people from school who had never spoke to me before.
My best friend Quinn got so sick of it all that she practically begged me to leave her alone so that she could be left alone.
I let it happen because I cared about her and could see what the excessive amount of attention was doing to her.

On the second week I stayed off school because of how terrible week one was also I had to make final arrangements about moving.

This didn't help my situation at all m, in fact I think I made things worse, people started showing up at my door acting like Jehovah witnesses.

It was all too much and I was so ready for this change.

The houses in Canada seemed so big for a lower amount of money than the ones in England which helped me a whole lot.

Ever since the whole address scandal I had gained subscribers and viewers and was getting paid by YouTube for the videos I made.

Being 16 and having that much money usually seems like a route for irresponsibility but I took it upon myself to use the money for good.

At 2:00pm we had arrived in Vancouver and luckily all our stuff had been arranged in our new home so all we had to do was get use to the new space.

I wanted to explore so I grabbed my penny board quickly and skated around the neighbourhood.
After a while I got bored and watched some videos to learn some new tricks.

Nobody had recognised me yet which was great. England was stuffy and I'm glad to be out of that hell hole.

As I was flipping my board with one foot it flew through the air causing someone to get hurt. I knew this due to the screech.

"Oh my God, I am so sorry," I repeated.

"It's fine, I just need an ice pack." The voice answered.

"Here I have one in my fanny pack, it might be a little heated because I'm hot. Not like, I'm hot, well my body is." I panicked.

The boy looked at me with a confused look. He. Was. Gorg.

I knew he was Finn Wolfhard due to my extensive knowledge of all things Netflix. I wasn't going to mention it because he looked scared enough as it is.

I quickly handed him the ice pack and grabbed my penny board ready to run back home. I had caused trouble on my first day here.
Tears began to well up in my eyes at the thought of another scandal rising.

"Hey, hey it's fine. I'm fine. Honestly. It's not the first time a board has flew at my face." Finn said while grabbing my arm.

"Really? I don't want to have to move again." I questioned while trying to stop crying, damn my hormones.

He lay his hand on my shoulder cautiously and nodded.

"Okay, thank you Finn." I whispered while walking away.

Realising I just revealed the fact that I knew who he was I quickened my pace until I was all the way home.

I ran up to my room exhausted from skating and collapsed onto my bed.

Suddenly my phone pinged. Keep in mind I changed my cell phone number and everything.

I picked it up, when I see an unknown number had texted me:

-your welcome Xena 🛹😉

......................................................
And that's my first "Vancouver Ready" chapter.
It took me a while to write this because I thought it didn't have potential.
Anyways I'm excited for this book it's more planned than my last one.
