The night went on, both of us opening up to each other like we never had before. I felt the bright daylight sun hit me through the window. I stretched up, pushing Theo's arm off of my back. I still wasn't sure about what I did last night and if it was the best choice or not. I looked over to the crowded bedside table where my phone laid upside down on vibrate. I grabbed it and slouched back down into bed with Theo lying beside me.
There was a notification on my phone for one voice mail that was left at 1:07 am. I tapped on the message and held the phone up to my ear.
"Hello, this is the Saint Elizabeths hospital calling for Katie Palmer to notify you that your relative Sarai Palmer has been in a terrible accident and is in confinement. The injuries are major and we would like you to be able to come as soon as possible, because they might be life threatening. Thank you for your time."
The machine hung up and I was in awe. I could barley move. Just to think my mother had an injury is bad but life threatening? I had to go right away.
"Theo!" I shook him. "Theo wake up!"
His eyelids fluttered open to show his brown masculine eyes.
"Katie.." He yawned. "Good morning...why are you waking me up so early."
He was right, It was 5:45 in the morning but this was important.
"My mom was in an accident is in the hospital and I need to get there right away."
Theo got up and threw some jeans and a dark brown shirt on and grabbed his keys. I put some pajama pants and shirt on and slipped my slippers on.
"Come on let's go." He says as he opens the bedroom door. I can tell he was worried and I am to.
