"I don't know about this" Elle, my best friend whispered from behind me.

"You're not backning out now" I turn to look at her, concern edging into my voice "Elle, this is all you've ever talked about for as long as I've known you"

Me and Elle met about two years ago, I had just become a rouge and was still running from my old pack, when I met her and her brother Jason. The two was kind enough to take me on and let me into their little family, it was just the three of us, you see as rouges we usually don't travel in groups.

"Yeah but if we get caught, he'll kill us" she lets out a small whimper.

"Then let's not get caught"  I shrug and she lets out a small groan.

"That is so like you, you never take things seriously! I mean it Sophie, he'll kill us!"

It's not like I didn't already know this, I mean it's Lucero, alpha of the Moon Pack, we're talking about. Everyone knows he kills everyone who sets foot on his lands. But at the same time, everyone also knows that he is rumored to be the most brethtaking male anyone has ever seen.

And like I said earlier, Elle hasn't shut up about him for as long as I've known her, it's been a constant nagging about 'I bet he is so hot', 'I would just like to see him once', 'what if he's my mate and I would never even know 'cause I've never met him' and 'I would do anything just to know what he looks like'.

And every single time, me and Jason has had to drag her down from the clouds and remind her why she can't see him just once. Jason made his opinion on her obsession over the dangerous Alpha, more than clear... she is to stay away at all cost. The same goes for me, even though I've never even indicated that I had the slightest interest in seeing the Alpha, but Jason insisted that I stayed away too.

I think that the reason he was so insistent on it was because he secretly had hoped for us to be mates and he wished to keep me safe, at least.. that's what Elle told me.

Anyway, so after two years of constant nagging I had decided to put an end to it. It's Elles birthday and as a gift I had offered her the one thing she wanted the most, to see the Alpha.

I had offered to take her, help her get a glimps of him, just enough to see what he looked like and to find out either he was her mate or not. Not that I believed he would be, but Elle was convinced that they had a bond.

So that explains why we are currently hiding behind bushes, just ten minutes from the Moon Pack borders.

"I do take this seriously, you don't think I know what will happen if we get caught? Hell Elle, I'm the one who has reminded you of just that the last two years! But there's noway we've come this far just to turn back home and I refuse to listen to you obsess over him anymore, it's time that you find out either you're mates or not!" I hiss at her as lowly as I can, more than well aware that if we speak any louder the guards by the boarder will be able to hear us even from the distance we're in.

Letting out a long sigh she shakes her head to focus and then locks her eyes with mine "you're right! Thanks Sophie"

I let out my own breath and nod once before turning around to continue to sneak closer to the boarder. To be honest, a part of me had hoped that my little speach wouldn't work and that we would now be on our way home instead of towards our death.

Just before we cross the boarder I stop and signal for her to stay quiet as I let my eyes take in our surroundings. I spot seven guards and I focus to find more, there's noway the Moon Pack only has seven guards, there should at least be ten..

There's one more...

I squeeze my eyes, trying to focus even more... there, another one.

That makes nine.
