In this short chapter you will be told the truth and nothing but the truth about Lucas's past a few days before the plane incident.
Outside is already dark, everyone is inside. Most families are having dinner right now, meanwhile others are preparing for bed. Some moms are serving the food at the table while others are brushing their kids' teeth. Some dads are having a fun and dynamic conversation at the dinner table with their family while others are telling bed time stories to their children. But in Lucas's house that night, it was different. Mom was crying in the living room while Dad was shouting at the phone asking why they aren't doing anything about their son's disappearance. The truth is, Lucas was taken away and little did anyone know, he wasn't going to be back so soon.
After a long wait filled with worry and distress, it finally arrived. The Bad News. Lucas's mom rushed to the door and opened it, it was a cop standing patiently infront of the door, he seemed a little nervous. I guess there is a first time for everything, and for that police officer, it was the first time he had to bring The Bad News to a family. So he hesitated a little, not sure where to start but he finally got the hang of it and told everything to the family that cried more and more as The Bad News got worst and worst. This is what was told that night; Lucas got kidnapped by some ruthless foreign gang known for their practice of child slavery. The officer lowly announced to the parents that their son could be anywhere at this given moment, and the police had no hint to where the gang members had taken him.
The officer was partially right, except that he didn't know that Lucas was going to be sent all the way to another country where he will start his life as a slave. Infact, noone knew that.
When that day arrived, Lucas was forced to aboard a small passenger plane where he saw other young kids like him, crying, confused, worried or even trembling of fear under the scary looks of those dirty men. And so the little plane took off and as you already know, never reached it's destination.
"The plane incident ended some lives and started new ones at the same time"
