Knock

The sound of someone knocking on the door gently woke me up from the dream of my nightmare,that is now a constant reminder inside my head.Locked inside of a mansion,a prison I made in my head.

I blinked the sleep from my eyes and looked around my room.My eyes found my diamond covered alarm clock.

6:05a.m

Groaning I heard someone knocking,but they sounded like they're in a hurry.And just by the smell of them I can tell it's my personal maid, Emily.

"Come in" As soon as I said that she ran inside my room.She talked in a rushed voice.

"Princess we must hurry get ready for the day you are very busy,come on come on!"

I sit up back straight and shoulders back and head held high.That's what I learned since I was a little kid.

I walked to my bathroom and started to brush my teeth,flossed and used mouthwash.I started to strip my clothes off and turn on the water, waiting for the water to warm I placed a face mask on.Once I rubbed it in I leave it on and stepped in the shower.

I stepped out the shower and dried off, I walked out my bathroom after I threw on my robe. I sat down and let Emily comb my hair and fix it into a half up half down hairstyle with loose curls at the end,next she did my makeup.I stepped into my royal dress and emily did my corset and put heels on my feet and sat back down,Emily did my nails and once it's dried I put some perfume on and my crown,I checked the time again.

7:34a.m

I cursed in my head and rushed out after checking myself out again. I rushed down the hall to the staircase, I stopped at the top of it and calmed myself down then I walked down gracefully, once I was down stairs I see my mom,dad and baby brother. He's a lycan like mother, I sat down in my usual seat in the middle with no one besides me.

"Why are you late,a queen should never be late if you wanna be a queen you must be sharp and be there before anyone else. How much times I have to tell you this Iris?" My father said not looking up once form his paperwork.

I rolled my eyes and my mother gave me a look that that can kill so I said "I know, I know a queen should be perfect and ready for anything,It won't happen again." I said remembering the saying my dad always say.

He nodded pleased that I remember. "Good I'll be watching."

' Here we go again.' My wolf Adira said.

Adira name has a meaning to it, it's a Hebrew name, meaning 'strong' is both simple and exotic.

The maids came in with the breakfast:

•hashbrown
•bacon
•eggs
•waffles
•water, orange juice and blood
•pancakes
•porridge

I picked bacon, waffles, hash brown and blood. My mom picked eggs, pancakes,water and bacon, my brother have porridge and my dad got mostly everything else.
