Prologue
David Jacobson woke up to the familiar sight of the bright experimentation room. He looked around while not noticing how empty it was in this room. The straps around his wrists and ankles kept him from sitting up. Carefully, he yanked his arm out of the restraint and moved to unlock his other arm. He sat up slowly and removed the wires that were suction cupped to his temples. Next David pulled the needles out of his arms and legs.
After getting the last restraints off of his ankles, slowly got to his feet. He heard a weird growling sound coming from a door that did not match the rest of the room. The door was rusted and bloody while the rest of the room was a bright and clean. Once he got to the door, David was hesitant on grabbing the nasty doorknob and after he got control of his hand, the door was open.
On the other side of the door lay a long, dark hallway that had only one light on at the end of it. Under that light was a person knelt down over something. "Hey," David whispered loudly, "Are you okay?" The person didn't even move. Slowly, David walked towards him and the closer he got, the more define the human got.
Soon David could see the fur on this "being" and it wasn't knelt over something, it was knelt over SOMEONE. "Hey! Get away from him!" David yelled while grabbing the creature's shoulder and shoving it against the wall.
" For a moment time seemed to freeze and he soon felt like he was looking into a mirror. That person on the ground before him wasn't just anyone, that person was David himself...
With shock coloring his face, the creature almost left his minxd until a gut twisting growl bellowed through the hallway. The creature lunged for David but missed because he had dodged it and ran for the door he came from.
When he got to where the door should've been, it wasn't there. The door had been replaced by a wall. A warm breathe went down David's neck and he spun around only to be face to face with the creature. Instantly, as if he had linked to it, David realized it wasn't only a creature...
...It was David...
