"Thanks for the lift, Darren." Tim smiles as he gets out of the car. "Maybe the candy bars aren't melted too bad.""No problem. Hey listen, if you want to make a few bucks, I could really use some weed-eating around here." Darren says as he points out the weeds that were growing around the pool area and buildings. Yeah, he could do it himself but he always tried to find things for the guys to do to earn a few bucks. "There's also some more graffiti that needs painting over if Chance and Austin wants to help out."
"Sure." Tim grins. "When?"
"Tomorrow would be fine." Darren smiles. "I'll have everything ready for you guys."
"Great. We'll see you tomorrow." Tim says before heading to the old motel next door.
Tim repositions everything in his arms so he could dig his key from his pocket. He figured the other two were still at the laundromat across the street. He goes inside the room and sees the others hadn't made it back yet. He lays the groceries on the dresser, taking the bread out so it wouldn't get mashed. Grabbing the two remaining candy bars and two bottles of water, he heads over to the laundromat to help.
The brunette had to chuckle as he sees the bored looks on the couple's faces. They were sitting side by side on the folding table, swinging their legs.
"I brought y'all something. I kinda splurged a little." Tim says as he hands them the candy bars and the water. "Be sure you save the bottles." He adds as he sits down next to them on the table.
"Snickers!" Austin grins as he grabs the candy bar. "And it's not even melted."
"Darren was at the grocery store and gave me a lift." Tim says. "He's also got a few jobs for us tomorrow."
"Really? That's awesome." Chance says with a mouth full of the candy.
"Did you have any problems at the store?" Austin says, putting the cap back on his water.
"The manager kinda followed me around. I really think he thought I was going to steal something." Tim says with a soft chuckle.
"What a jerk." Austin says.
"Naw, actually, he was quite helpful. I forgot my glasses and couldn't see any of the prices." Tim says as he stares straight ahead as he thinks about the cute blonde.
"So, what does Darren need to be done?" Chance asks as he goes to check on their clothes in the dryer.
"Weed-eating and painting over some graffiti on the buildings." Tim answers as he gets up from the table as Chance brings an armload of clothes over.
"Why do people do that sh*t? It's so immature and disrespectful." Austin says shaking his head.
"And it's not even artistic graffiti. It's always someone trying to draw a dick." Tim chuckles.
"Yeah, that ends up looking like a rocket with balls." Austin laughs as he folds a tee-shirt.
"And let's not forget the incorrect drawings of pentagrams. If they want people to believe they're satanist they need to learn the emblems." Chance says, shaking his head.
"For real, doe." Austin nods.
"Well, I wouldn't know a true pentagram if it walked up and smacked me in the face." Tim chuckles.
"It's the angle of the star in the circle that makes it satanic." Chance says.
"How do you know this sh*t?" Tim asks, raising a brow. "Were you into that crap?"
"Hell, no. But when I was in high school, a friend of mine was into it really bad." Chance answers. "He tried to get me to join but I had better sense."
