Crazy in love with you

Cynthia being only 17 was a very productive and intelligent girl she always got her work done and never had a bad grade in her entire life and although she was beautiful and smart she was missing something important something that would help her define who she was. Maria, her mother was a very elegant woman who had many manners and was a very sweet and considerate person and even though her husband had left her she still felt the need to show everyone she was okay. Cynthia had a part-time job as a helper at the animal shelter because she wanted to be a veterinarian when she got older and out of college. Cynthia was always acknowledged at her schools whether it was an award or just simply being praised and while some praised her others hated her for her outgoing attitude nothing ever got her down. While roaming around the school’s garden Cynthia came across an unfamiliar face, it was a young man sleeping by the bench with a book in his hand that read “Love is not far.”  Cynthia made the lowest sigh and he awoke with wide blue eyes. He looked around and then saw Cynthia and gave her a warm comforting smile then got up and left. Cynthia couldn’t stop her heart from busting from her chest but it made a loud ba-thump as he walked away it almost looked like he was gliding or dancing across the floor. Cynthia stared at him a little longer as he turned the corner and gracefully disappeared. When Cynthia got back to the class she was attacked by her friends Charlene, Massie, and Elizabeth. Charlene smiled and hugged Cynthia and Massie and Elizabeth joined in.

Cynthia asked, “What is going on?”

Elizabeth giggled “Don’t act surprised and ignorant”

“I’m serious”

“You haven’t heard of your own marriage!”

 “What?”

Oh yes Mr. Treviso came in and told us the news not too long ago”

“Do you know who?”

Massie nodded “To a boy named Christopher Larton”

After school as always Cynthia helped the teachers clean the rooms then she headed home. On her way home she thought she’d pick up some groceries for dinner so she headed into the grocery store and to her surprise was the boy she had encountered earlier. He looked taller than before and he didn’t look as elegant as he did earlier that day he looked more like he had an issue that he was trying to resolve by himself. Cynthia walked up to him to make sure she wasn’t mistaken but when he saw her he smiled and his voice was beautiful as if he was singing a song meant only for her.

He smiled “Hello”

Cynthia smiled back “Hello”

“Can I be of service to you?”

“You may I was wondering if I could ask why you were sleeping in the garden?”

“Oh you see I love the smell of the roses they sooth my senses and help me settle at ease so I sat down to read and before I could finish even the chapter I had dozed off”

“I saw the book you were reading such an interesting title”

“You mean Love is not far yes it is a interesting title you see my father had perished not long ago and my mother was very weary and even though she is so young she assumed she’d never find love again so I went through her stuff and found this book and I showed it to her and when she looked at it she asked me if I could read the book and tell her what I thought of it”

“Wow it must be very special to her”

“What do you mean?”
