The Game

Chapter 2

*Elliana's pov*

After class, I met up with Rylie, Hannah and Sam.

"Hey."

"Where's Mack?"

"Outside. She had to meet up with Danny first. But she's outside waiting for us."

"Is Alyssa not coming?"

"No. She and Liam have plans. But we'll probably meet them after."

"Are you sure?"

"When has Lyssie ever bailed on us? She'll be there, Sam. Chill. She texted me during class to tell me that she and Liam have some kind of project coming up for one of their classes and they need to pick up some things in order to actually finish their project. Alyssa and Liam are straight A students. They're not going to just fail because of prom. And I'm not going to be the one to force them to fail. They're going to meet us after we're all done shopping and we're going to go get something to eat."

"Fine. But only because their grades are inportant to them."

Sam was a great friend. But hanging out with her friends was something she looked forward to, especially because we always did this sort of thing with all 6 of us and Alyssa not being there would be weird. But Alyssa's parents were all about her grades and if she didn't make straight A's, they probably wouldn't let her go to prom. And if it was up to them, if she made anything less, she probably wouldn't make it to graduation either. She had extremely strict parents. I guess that's why Sam gave in so easily.

"Come on. Let's go. Mackenzie's waiting for us."

The 5 of us left school amd met up with Mack, who was waiting by her car.

"Finally."

"Sorry. I had to explain to them why Alyssa's not coming."

"Oh. Is it because she and Liam are buying stuff for their project?"

"Yeah. Let's go. We have prom dresses to find."

We all got into Mackenzie's car and headed to the nearest mall.
