Hiccups POV:;
I stood at the edge of the cliff of new Berk with my first born daughter in hand. I thought about what my father would have said if he saw her. Probably something like"Hope it's not the last" or "You will be a great father".....I missed him so much. Astrid was getting changed and had a nap for she had just delivered. I looked down at her so frale so fragile, she was so beautiful and was exactly what I needed at this moment. I wondered about her being the first heir of this isle and first cheiftess not by marriage. I shed a tear for my Father watching the sunset also longing for my best friend ....toothless.
Astrid POV;
As I walked up to the edge I smiled as I saw Hiccup.
"So this is where you have a first father daughter time with your daughter" I joked while walking behind him.
I noticed he took his elbow and wiped his eyes.
"I thought with your newborn daughter in hand you would have been cheering for the roof tops"
"Don't worry I already have...." His voice stopped and he bursted into tears and leaned into me, being cautious of the baby of course.
"Shhh....it's okay...could you just tell me why???"
"Ev-evrything happed so quickly...my father ....toothless ....me marying the most beautiful woman of my life....and now me becoming a father"
" Well..not quite"
"What-t??"
"We haven't named her yet"
The sadness on his face melted away as his thinking face came on. He was saying names that I didn't understand and did NOT agree with. And then he said one which sparked my ears.
"That one"
"Which one?? I just said a thousand in five minutes!!"
"Willow"
"Willow Valka Hofferson Haddock"
"Who says were taking your mother's name ?? What about mine?? I said goofley
We gazed at the sunset just until it rested under the covers of the sea.
Hiccups POV;
We walked back down to the village and called everyone to the new great Hall as I was about to give the big announcement and the sign of the next chief printed on her.
"Tonight is a great moment for me and for berk, our first heir to new berk and Berks first cheiftess" the crowd gasped at first and then cheered.
"And her name is Willow Valka Hofferson Haddock"
