As I pulled back the vines on the rock. What I saw was everything I believed, a dragon. It moved around like a fish on land. I slowly walked towards it and the end of its wing was hurt from an old trap from this man daddy said in his story of Grimmzel or something like that. Its color was black and white and looked like my age.
"Willow where are you? You know what your daddy said and its almost time that we should head back!!" Thorn said.
"Gimme a sec!" I yelled back
I quiqly took out my knife and started tinkering at the trap to let it loose.
"There" I whispered to myself.
The dragon quiqly jumped up and pined to the ground. I thought I was going to die but all it did was scream in my ear and ran off. I breathed heavily as I just witnesed a dragon!!! I stood up and ran back to Thorn as we trailed on back to the village.
~Berk~
"Where were you!!! I thought I told you to only be out for a couple of hours!!" Mommy said as she yelled to my face.
"We were worried sick!! What if you were killed?! Or or worse you put Thorn in danger!! You are supposed to be the next chieftess and this is what your doing!!" Daddy said to me as he hugged me close to the buckles on his chest.
I just went quite and apologized as they both loved me to death. I wanted to tell them but how.....they would never understand because they hate dragons......but how could they hate something so ......majestic. I am only little. But tomorrow im going back in the woods more prepared and I think the dragon has a boo-boo, Auntie Ruffnut showed me all the medications on healing.(Since she is the wisest now)
~The next day~
"Thorn!!!!! Come on you sleepy head we have to go to the woods!!" I yelled knocking on the door of her hut.
Instead Auntie Heather came to the door, Thorn is not my cousin because we are not related by blood but mommy said Heather is her "Friend sister".
"Oh if it isn't my favorite godchild, aren't you in trouble, your mommy said this morning you were late last night" she said with her soft voice.
"Only by ten minutes" I wined.
"You remind me so much of your Dad, anyway, Thorn will be down in a minute she is just getting dressed, oh, try not to be too late this time , I think you know how your parents are."
"I know I know don't worry"
Thorn comes almost falling down the stairs because she is always clumsy in the morning. I tell her to back a lunch and say goodbye to Auntie Heather ,then we head out on our adventure.
In the woods, I was thinking if I should tell Thorn about what I saw yesterday in the woods, she is my best friend and would eventually find out.
"Thorn, yesterday I saw something ....and you need to have an open mind about it but....I saw a Dragon"
"A what!!! And you waited to tell me now in the woods!! Where is it??!! Where did you find it??!!"
"I think it hurt its wing but it ran off and now I just feel bad because I think I hurt it"
Thorn went silent for a few seconds. When she finally said.
"I saw one too yesterday and it was also caught in a trap but I set it free... and I think its still here... maybe I should go and find it to make sure its ok"
"You found one two, but dad always said they are stories of our ancestors that had them... i never would have imagined thye were real"
Thorn nods slowly and walks away swiftly as she could.
I came acros a green open field almost to close to the great clifts. I hide behind the bushes for there it was....The dragon!! My heart almost pounded out of my chest. The little dragon whimperd in pain as I saw it was hurt. I took out my medical stuff in my bag and slowly aproched.
"Its okay, im not going to hurt you, im just going to make you feel better"
The dragon gave me one fieced look then its head went back and agreed.
After two hours of bandaging, I was finnaly done. I gave the dragon some food and it almost looked like it was saying thank you.
"Ill come back tommorow with more fish"
The dragon cheered and I was nervous and hopeing dad wont find out.
