Yes, Stanley Uris did have a crush on Bill Denbrough and he could've gone his whole life without anyone finding out.
But he couldn't get anything past his observative, vulgar, accent loving best friend.

One day in their late junior year of highschool, Eddie and Bev shouted back and fourth at each other about something- Stan could personally care less about as all the losers crowded in at their lunch table. Richie plopped down in his usual spot next to the curly haired Jew but caught Stan's eyes as they lingered on Bill for a few seconds too long and grabbed his wrist whilst pulling him away from the group to shoot accusations at him. After all, Stan had been sneaking glances at Bill whenever he could.

He loved the majestic way the boy spoke, and the slow movements of his Adam's apple as he conjoined a sentence- and god when his hair fell in front of his eyes Stan damn near fell out of his chair.

Stanley realized that he had been lost in thought as he looked up at the curly haired male while he was bombarded with questions, that smirk always present on Richie's face particularly evident and Stan rolled his eyes at the familiarity of the whole scene.

"Staniel! You in there? God you really are hopeless aren't you sweetcheeks"

Stanley rolled his eyes at the irony of it all. Richie his very own best friend was most likely hands down the most hypocritical person he had ever met.

"So stanny are you and Bill finally together, I caught you red handed staring right at him trying to catch his beautiful blue orbs" - Richie sarcastically swooned to punctuate his sentence and Stan had never wanted to punch him in the glasses more.

"Richie don't call me out as if you haven't liked Eddie since the 3rd grade" - Stanley threw his hands up and moved Richie's glasses so that they were askew just to agitate him.

Richie's eyes squinted at Stan as he fixed his crooked lenses, "Well ya got me there smart guy" Richie impersonated a 1980's New York Mobster. He really was insufferable, Stan thought miserably as he shook his head. He turned his back and walked away from his tall friend.

This wasn't the first time and definitely wouldn't be the last time Richie and Stan had confided in one another when it came to Bill and Eddie. They helped each other with everything what difference did a crush make?

Richie's legs were long and he was able to stride across the cafeteria and quickly catch up to Stan. He threw his arm around the shorter boys neck and whispered in his ear;
"Well maybe if you made a move you wouldn't have to keep eye fucking him you'd be real fucking him."
He followed up with a comment that earned him a vehement push from Stan
"I wonder if big bill lives up to his name yea Stan?"

Stan turned a dark shade of red as a shit eating grin spread across Richie's face once he recovered from the push he had been offered due to his statement.
