Chapter 1: Daddy Is Superhero

🔻Ashley's PoV🔻

Both me and my best friend Taylor sat on the sofa in general chatter about things as the TV played some children's programme that was on to my daughter, her eyes lit up as she watched intently as bright colours and loud sounds crowded the screen, her little bowl of grapes sat in between her legs as she munched away.

'Her birthday's in a few months isn't it? Have you got anything planned?' Tay asked as she took a sip from her soda before placing it back down on the side table.

She re-adjusted her position on the sofa so she was facing me with crossed legs, I did the same; still making sure I could keep an eye on the munchkin eating grapes in the beanbag over the other side of the room.

'If you mean by "got anything planned" does the fact count that I was going to make her a special lunch and take her to the park?' I pondered and she slapped my arm, I had no clue what to do for Rynae's fourth birthday to tell you the truth.

'No Ashley that doesn't count!' She scolded 'me and Colby are going to have to plan something for her, that's when your brother gets time off because he's always working'

'No Taylor, you can't do that. I'm sorry, she's my daughter meaning my responsibility. Not my brothers responsibility, not your responsibility. Mine' I patted her shoulder in dismissal as my eyes wondered back to my daughter.

'Fine, I'm still getting her something and I know Colby will too' She folded her arms across her chest and I sighed, taking a last sip from my soda before walking over to Rynae.

'Hey Ry sweetie, do you want to take your nap now? Tay-Tay will read a story to you?' I cooed and Ry smiled, she was so cute even the dimples just melted everyone's heart more.

'Can tway-tway read me favourite?' She gasped excitedly as I placed her against my hip, walking back over to Taylor she was on her phone but instantly looked up as she saw Ry in my arms.

'Rynae wants you to read her a story for nap time, I thought you may like to, since your obsessed with my daughter and all' I smirked down at Taylor as she stood from the sofa and in the process retrieving Ry from my arms as she hoisted her up onto her own hip.

I lead the way to Rynae's bedroom as Tay followed behind as she made small cute conversation with my daughter, it seemed as though she was making her more energetic than calming her down ready for her nap.

Soon enough Taylor tucked Rynae into her tiny pink toddler bed and sat beside her, I sat at the small chair near her dolls house. Ry waited in silence whilst playing with her fingers as Tay skimmed through many of Rynae's books looking for her favourite.

'Once upon a time there was a princess called Snow White, she had a pretty long dress with red bows and white shoes as her short black hair sparkled in the sunlight. .' Taylor started to read from the Snow White book sent from the UK to Colby for his Niece, it was cute how it was Ry's favourite story to read.

The WWE Universe knew Colby had a sister, they knew he had a niece but nobody knew who I was for personal reasons, they'd send Colby fan mail with little baby girl stuff in for my brothers niece, he'd give all of the stuff he'd received for Rynae to me when he came to visit every few weeks. Some of the stuff Ry would get sent would be nice whilst other things would be too big for her to use just yet so we gave that stuff away to charity.

Both Colby and I appreciated the thought from his fans but we thought the stuff that Rynae couldn't use could be put to better use sooner than rather piling up in my closet for a good few years. Colby had always been a fan of charity considering his line of work and I found it cute.
