I pull up my curly brown locks into a low pony tail. My hair falls into my brown eyes. My hair is shoulder length and honestly I hate it.  I've always been told my hair looked good being short and sure I agree, but it's hard to style. I look out the window of my room.

"What are you doing up?", my roommate  Lisa asks, rubbing her eyes.

The sun has barely begun to rise. I ignore her. I know it is weird to be up before the sun and all, but I like knowing that the sun will rise. I smile to myself. I look down and see adults walking kids out of the main building.

Oh how I would kill to leave this place. I've been in the foster system all my life and I wonder what it's like to live in a house, to have a pet, to hear "I love you" and so on. I never really knew what happened to my parents.

"Annie c'mon, go back to bed or something. We don't have to get up yet so why waste your time?" I roll my eyes. Lisa is 16, and she thinks she's wiser than me because she's a year older.

"I'm awake already and as you can see, I'm basking in the sun", I respond. She sighs and falls back into her bed. I sit at the table that's placed in the corner of the small, cold room. I smile again at the sun. I hope this day is a good one.

A few minutes later there is a knock at the door. I hear Lisa groan. I get up to answer it and she gets up, knowing it's probably Ester, a lady who wakes everyone up for a daily routine. Me and lisa always make fun of her because it seems that she's in a witch cult or something. She yells at us in a slurred language sometimes and wears long black dresses. I open the door and greet her. I start to tell her we will be down to get ready to eat, but then she disrupts me.

"No, no Annie, today you are being adopted." I stare at her confused. It's very odd to hear of the teens in the building getting adopted since people think we are to "difficult". She orders me to get ready.

I stare at Lisa in shock. "Oh my gosh A, your getting out of this place!" She exclaims. I squeal in happiness and try not to cry.

I go over to my closet and sort my clothes into luggage. " I think if you put the purple shirt with your skinny jeans and your adidas it would be cute!" Lisa tells me. That girl is always telling me what to wear, but I'm not complaining because she always makes me look good. I quickly change.

"I love you Lisa, and I'll never forget you!" I say dramatically. She laughs. "Okay dork, go before Ester actually says you don't want to be adopted. Also call me when you can."

"Will do". We hug and I run down the stairs. I see a black limo pull up. That's funny, who would go so over the top to pick up their child in a limo? I say goodbye to Ester, who just waves her hand and then turns around to go back inside. Luke, one of the orphanage assistants walks me out. I turn toward the parking lot where all the normal cars are parked at but he guides me toward the limo. Wait I'm so confused. As I get closer to the limo, I see who is inside. Oh my god, it's Finn Wolfhard. Is THE Finn Wolfhard adopting me?
