Dove's pov

Thomas and I just came home from our dinner date at Subway, I know soooo fancy, when I recieved a text from Sofia. Sofia is my best friend, my other half. She understands me better than anyone else. It's almost as if we can read each others minds, always knowing what the other is thinking. We are very comfortable around each other and I can always be myself around her, whereas I act differently with most people. We've only come close to blocking each other out due to a major argument, but I realized I was in the wrong and immediately tried to make it up to Sofia. It didn't take long, as she is a very forgiving person that didn't want to end our friendship over stupid clabbering, and we eventually ended up cuddled up on the couch, my head resting against her chest as she ran her fingers gently through my hair. Now, what was the argument about you may ask? Well, I promised Sofia I would go and spend the night at her place so we could just have an us night because we were both in need of one, but Thomas and I got a little caught up, if you know what I mean, and she was angry at me for forgetting about her. I tried to argue that I didn't forget, and that Thomas and I got busy, but she couldn't believe it. I wouldn't have either, if I were her. I was being a terrible friend, let alone best friend, but I promised it would never happen again.
"Hey," Sofia's message read. "I was wondering if you wanted to come over and spend the night at my place?"
"Of course!!" I replied. "What time do you want me to come over?"
"Is now okay?" She responded within seconds.
"Yeah sure. On my way now." I got off my phone and went upsatirs to say bye to Thomas.

"Hey, Tommy. I'm going over to Sofia's for the night. I'll see you in the morning." I said standing in the doorway.
"I have an audtion tomorrow morning so I will see you after that." He answered with his cute Scottish accent.
"Oh good luck! I gotta go. I love you." I stepped out of the doorframe.
"I love you too, Chlo." I began my journey out the door and down the stairs and out to my car.

Sofia's apartment isn't too far mine, so it was only about a five minute drive. I didn't need to worry about bringing stuff with me as I have strategically left things I would need in her apartment, as she did in mine. I walked to her door on the 3rd floor and gave it a soft knock. I could hear someone scampering through the apartment across the floor. The door soon opened to reveal a smiling Sofia. As soon as I saw her, I threw myself at her knocking her down in the process, as waves of laughter erupted from the both of us. She wrapped her arms around me and pulled me closer, as I was on top of her.

"Hi." Sofia was the one to break the silence after the laughter dispersed.
"Hi." I replied looking up to meet her gaze with a goofy grin. Her eyes are beuatiful, a perfect shade of brown with some red mixed in. My best friend is absolutely flawless.

Sofia's pov
Dove and I just layed there for a few minutes, the goofy grin never washing off of her adorable face. She had a pink hat on with her hair back in a braid. Her makeup was barely showing, just some light mascara and blush. She had on a gray sweatshirt of my own that I had given her for her birthday, and a pair of black shorts that were covered by the oversized hoodie. She looked absolutely stunning in my opinion. I met her gaze again, after studying her body, not in a weird way. Her sea green eyes shown brightly at me, making my heart melt, and travel through my body giving me a warmth that I loved dearly. Dove soon broke contact and pushed herself up off of the floor. A small pale hand reached out to grasp mine as I stuck mine out for help up. She pulled me up and I wrapped my arms around her waist, offering her a real hug. She complied, and wrapped her arms around my neck.

"How's my duck fluff?" I asked softly.
"So much better now that I'm here." She made my heart melt again.

We just stood there for a while hugging, not needing to talk, enjoying each others comfort. I took in the sweet smell of Dove. She smelled like a perfect mix of vanilla and lavendar. I never wanted the moment to end, but Dove pulled her head back, so we were faced to face.

"What are we going to do tonight?" I could feel her warm breath upon my lips with our faces so close together. It was normal for us to be this close, but most people find it uncomfortable and I really don't understand why. It's a very intimate thing to share with your best friend.

"I was thinking maybe we do facemasks and a movie marathon, or we could just hang out and talk." I had tried to come up with ideas, but I'm always really sucky when it comes to that.

"How about we do facemasks and play Truths." Dove and I don't like playing truth or dare because someone always ends up having to get up, and we like to get comfortable, so we put a little twist on it. We only ask truths that can be answered with a yes or a no answer. Then, Dove has an app on her phone that chooses random numbers between one and ten, and you have to choose a number as well. You say your number before the other person presses the button to get the random number. If it picks your number, you have to asnwer the question with a full explanation. If not, your safe with just a yes or a no. Dove and I like to choose questions that have a major outcome. It's always fun that way.

I went over to grab the face masks and when I came back, Dove's hat was laying on the floor and her hair was up in a bun. I dropped the facemasks on the floor and did the same with my hair.

"Ready to play?" Dove asked with a mischevious smirk on her face.
"I am so ready." I replied, mimicking her smirk.
