My arm reached out allowing me to open the light colored cabinet, Grabbing a cup from the shelf

After closing the cabinet, I walked to the sink allowing my cup to be filled with the cold tap water.

I leaned my lower back against the counter crossing one arm over my stomach and the other resting onto of my arm. I stare at the floor bringing the rim of the cup to my mouth.

My mind fills with thoughts as I took small sips of the water.

My phone vibrated on top of the counter causing me to snap out of my thoughts.
I place the cup down in the counter and grabbed my phone.

Unknown: hey!

My eyebrows narrowed out of curiosity. I looked at the message one more time before responding back.

[unknown message]
Me: hey? Who is this?

I bite my lip as I looked at my phone. The three bubbles in the corner popping up every few seconds indicating that the other person is typing.

[unknown message]
Unknown: It's ethan....and hopefully I'm talking to emma?

My eyes widened as I leaned back up. Staring at the text, I rushed to my couch eyes not leaving the phone screen

Brining my phone to my chest I leaned my head back. Why would ethan be texting me? And how did he get my number?

A small breath leaves my mouth as I look back to the phone screen. My fingers hovering over it.

Me: yes this is emma:)
Me: how did you get my number?

Feeling myself become anxious I turn off my phone and placed it on the table that sat In front of me.

I crossed one leg over the other starring hard at the phone. So many questions are going through my head at the moment.

After a minute the screen on my phone lights up and the table vibrates hard. I hesitate at first but only for a second before grabbing it.

I pressed my finger in the home button allowing my phone to unlock. I tapped on my messages and Ethan's was the only one with a small blue dot by it.

Unknown: I got it from Daniel. Hopefully you don't mind.

My smile widened at the thought of him asking for my number. It's not a big deal but to know he actually wants to talk with me just makes me feel like maybe I'll have a chance with him.

Ethan

I sat in my bed. My eyes glued onto my phone reading my conversation with Amanda.

I texted her last night and it didn't go as I wanted it to. I'm not one to beg for anything. When I want something I get it.

But it's driving me crazy that I can't have her. I groan and stood up from my bed, Grabbing my jacket.

I slide it over my head and a small paper falls from it. I bend down to pick it up.

A small puff of air leaves my mouth as I read the number that was written down on the paper.

I look to side licking the inside of my cheek, as I thought about last night.

"So...will you do it?" Daniel grabs my shoulder as he questions. I look over to where Amanda and Emma where.

Emma catches me staring and a small smile appeared on her face. I look away feeling uncomfortable.

"How do you even know she likes me?" I push Daniels hand off my shoulder

He sighs and looks back at emma.
"I don't, but Amanda is so convinced she asked me to help out."

"Let me think about it." I look at him and he nods his head pulling out a small piece of paper.

He hands it over to me. "Here, it's her number Incase you want to text her." I grab the paper and placed it in the pocket of my jeans.

Maybe I'll need this later.

I've been stuck with school and I haven't been that happy to write. Tmr the next chapter comes out 💕 will be longer.
