Chapter 3 New Beginnings

Okay so after next chapter, your quirk will be needed, and it won't be used after that, so I want y'all to comment what you want as the quirk. I'm gonna try to make a chapter for each of them, so you can still chose your quirk, but I'll probably max it at ten. ~ Alastor

I awoke with a start and sat up slowly, rubbing my eyes. The voice in my dream sounded so sad and haunting. I really didn't know what to make of it, it sounded so familiar, yet so foreign. Almost like when you see someone after a few years and you can still recognize them, but their also really different. I shook it off and looked at the time. '7:54, I'm supposed to be at UA at 11:00.' I thought as I rolled out of bed on to the floor. (A/N does anyone else do this? Cause I do.) I stood up and dragged myself to the bathroom, grabbing a (F/C) tee-shirt, a pair of (S/F/C) shorts, and my other necessities. (A/N like glasses, contacts, hair stuff, undergarments, etc.) I took a shower and got ready for the day before going downstairs to get breakfast. As I was walking to the kitchen, my phone started to ring with the custom made ringtone Matrix made for me. I shook my head and answered the phone while making breakfast.

"Hey sis, what's up?" I said tiredly.

"Okay, so I saw you talking to the two that were in front of you yesterday, and I know they were looking for a new teacher. Did they ask you?" She half-screeched in my ear. I held the phone away from my head and winced.

"Quiet, I just woke up. And yes they did." I said quickly pulling the phone away from my ear as she let out an unearthly, inhuman, screech. I laughed when I hear about five people scream at her to shut the hell up. I sat down and started to eat. "My interview thing is at 11:00, so I'm gonna have plenty of time to prepare."

"Oh my god I'm so happy for you! You totally deserve this! Oh and I have news too! It isn't as exciting as yours, but I got engaged. Call me later and tell me how everything goes. Bu-bye!" She said quickly hanging up right after, as I choked on my (F/D). She was gonna be the death of me. I finished breakfast and checked the time '10:11 UA is a 15 minute drive away, and I wanna be there early so I should leave in about ten to twenty minutes.' I thought with a smile, as I ran upstairs to brush my teeth. I went back down stairs and checked my notifications, seeing a message from Alex, just saying 'Good luck short-stack.' (A/N you're 5"7' because short) I squinted and texted back saying 'Thanks Mammoth.' Before grabbing my keys and bag then walking to my car. The drive to UA seemed to go faster than it really did, but that was probably just my nerves. I pulled into the parking lot about ten minutes early, and took a deep breath before climbing out of my car and approaching the door. I saw Present Mic standing at the door doing something on his phone. I walked up and tapped his shoulder causing him to turn and look at me with a big smile.

"(Y/N)! You're here earlier than planned! I was supposed to stay out here to bring you in to Nezu! So let's go!" He said loudly. I blinked at his energy before following him to Nezu's office. Once we were at the door he turned to me.

"Now this is where I take my leave! Good luck (Y/N) and I hope you get the job, I'd be great to see you around more! If you do get the job I'll see you in two weeks!" He called walking away. I took a deep breath and knocked on the door hearing a light 'come in' in reply.

I sat in my car after the interview and sighed. It was going to be a long year. I drove to the Traveler Café and immediately walked up to Matrix who was taking orders.

"I got the job." I said while she was walking back to the kitchen. Her eyes lit up and she smiled.

"Congratulations! I knew you could do it! Take a seat I'll get you some pie. (F/P/F) right?" She said already walking off. I laughed and nodded, while walking back to my usual table. She came out with loads of food and drinks, spinning around the room dispersing them to everyone around, before finally setting down a slice of pie and a hot chocolate in front of me.

"Good job, you earned this." She said with a smile. I thanked her and started eating, thinking about how this could really be the start of something great. As she walked away I called out to her.

"Hey Trix," I paused, taking a drink of my hot chocolate. "You still have to tell me about your fiancé."

Hell yeah, your boi did it. And it didn't take three months this time! Also we're gonna pretend like you don't need a degree to be a teacher, m'kay? Also comment your quirk and  all about it.
