The Voice of Reason.

Confrontation.

I walk into the busy room and Mila and Alex are laughing. 

"What's funny? Have I got anything on my face?" I ask.

"No not you. We are playing a prank on Abby." Mila says.

"What?" I ask with concern at how pissed Seth would be. 

"Just watch." They both say. Just then Abby walks into the room in a bath robe and stands on her mark. Seth takes his. Abby doesn't take off her robe. 

"Abby take off you robe." Seth says, before he even finishes his sentence she throws off the thing and reveals all.

Mila and Alex begin to laugh. All I can do is sit there with my hand over my mouth in complete shock. Seth is freaking out. 

"Stop right now go and put some clothes on you are done for the day." Seth says. Abby's face drops and she slouches out, she gets to the door and shouts back to Seth. 

"Fuck you I quit. This whore here is aloud to wear what she fucking wants..." Pointing to me "...I threw myself at you Seth when she threw you away. And you chase her instead of me. Fuck you MacFarlane." She turns and leaves the room, Seth was about to say something but I stood up, slipped out of my shoes and ran after her. "Shit." I hear at least three people say and chase after me. 

"Where do you get off speaking to people like that?" I finally catch up.

"Excuse me." 

"You heard. What gives you the right out of all people to speak to him like that, you throw yourself at him, which by the way if you didn't maybe he might have took a shot, and when he refuses to fuck you you speak to him like a piece of dog shit. No if anyone here is the whore it's you. He gave you a job and you threw it back in his face. My outfit today is short yes whoop dee doo. But at least I'm not getting my fucking tits out overtime Seth turns the fucking corner. So go, leave, I'll fill my place again but I tell you something..." I step towards her, Seth one step behind me just in case. "...I see you near my friends or in this building again. I will kill you." I say. 

"You can't say that you're a fucking joke you know that." She says. 

"You look me in the eyes and tell me if I'm fucking joking bitch." I threat. Her smug look falls and she quickly leaves the building. The frown remains on my face and I walk back to my office. Not even five minutes later Seth comes in. 

"What's up with you today?" Seth pants.

"She spoke to you like shit. Complicated or not she's not speaking to you or anyone like that. " I say. 

"No I didn't mean that." 

"What?" 

"I mean you. First you have new glasses, which by the way compliment you well. Then you stand up and I see this shit. You fucking tease me all fucking day and even when you wasn't intending on teasing me you do anyway." He paces.

"You saw me pick up the pen? Shit." I say. I bite my lip with embarrassment and begin to laugh. Seth stops pacing and frowns at me. 

"You think this is funny." He snaps. My smile drops and I lower my head. "All day all I've wanted to do is take you into my office and fuck you..." I lift up my head realising this is sexual frustration and not anger. "...I went into the toilet this morning and Jerked off because I couldn't get your image out of my head..." He comes over and slides his hands round the back of my waist. I would be lying to you all if I said I wasn't bursting at the seams to fuck him where he stands. And the amount of butterflies I have?  I could burst. He holds me tight and pulls me close. "...I miss just being able to touch you and hold you close to me at night. I miss waking up you're energy in the morning. You have driven me so crazy today. I just hope you haven't changed your mind about us. I love you Nightingale. I really, love you." He says. 

"I know you do which is why what I'm about to do now is really hard." I say. He frowns again. I walk over to the door and open it. Seth sighs and walks out. before leaving he kisses my cheek. 

"I'll see you tomorrow with my answer Seth. Cross my heart." I say. Watching him walk away feeling broken hurts me so much.
