I didn't know that this would get out of hand, I haven't seen or heard from Maia in months our talks get cut down since she moved to Puerto Rico.

But like I said about Laura, her awkwardness was just too cute, me and her just kinda happened. I don't love Maia, I know that for sure. She's going to be so upset though.

I put my head in my hands trying to recompose myself before I called Maia, but my phone was already blasted with messages. They all said "Tick, tock, look at the clock."

I only had five more minutes. I finally pushed Maia's name and took a deep breath as I put the phone to my ear.

"Hello?" Her accent rang clearly through my ear.

"Hi Maia, I-its Ross. I-I have to tell you something."

"Hello? Anyone there?" Her voice was breaking up badly.

"Maia! Can you hear me?" I grasped onto my hair desperately awaiting her response.

" Must be a wrong number." I hear a beep signalling the calls end. I dropped the phone from my ear, mortified.

My phone beeped again and I looked down at the screen to see a new message.

Times up. I gave you the choice to drop or keep her, turns out you get neither.

Messages will be sent to each, you deserve this you little leach.

I did all I needed to do.

I will leave the apologies up to you.

Just understand this is how I am

a spirit of Halloween, sent to make things mean.

You want to cry and you want to yell, but you can't tell.

they'd assume you've gone mad and cooky when you speak of this spooky tale.

Goodbye and farewell.

My phone goes blank turning itself off, I hear rustling in a near by tree.

"That's it! I've had it!" I got up and ran towards the tree only to hear a loud crack. I looked beneath my feet to see a disposable old phone from like 2004.

I tried placing it back together, but failed miserably. I chucked the stupid phone pieces and laid back on the grass, letting the guilt consume me.
