Sebastian sometimes complains about a bad day at work, which then turns into just ranting about his boss (either by his own sudden mood shift or by a kid asking who his boss was).
So, a good number of kids know about Jim's exsistance in their father's life, and can just figure out that their dear sniper dad may be obsessed.
And they tease him. A lot.
