I wake up to the sound of my alarm. I swear sometimes I want to throw it out my window and hope it won't live.
I turn off my alarm and get up.
I can't believe it is the end of summer.
I go to the bathroom and get dressed. Luckily there isn't any specific dress code so I get to wear my casual clothes.

I run downstairs to a note on the table. I picked up the note:

Your dad and I left for our business trip in the United States. We won't come back til next month so behave. We will call you every week. Do your homework and let Felix protect you. We love you Y/N!

They always leave me. I never had a regular family. We never had family game night, reunions or anything. I wanted a sibling but still don't have one.
At least I have Felix. My brother/ best friend for life. I knew Felix since I was a baby. We moved from Australia. He is older than me by a couple of months.

I smile reading what he texted. I left him on read. I grab my bagel, mom left for me and went outside.
"Hey! I miss you." Felix said while giving me a big hug.
"We saw each other a week ago. Don't be like that."
"You know you miss me too but you don't want to admit it."
"Fine, I miss you small hands." I said hugging him tightly back.
"I know." He says letting go.
"Lets get to school Y/N. I don't want to be late. I heard the teachers are strict about time."
