Louis's POV -

"C'mon boys, we're going to be late!"

We were all in a rush, though none of us were quite ready to be out the door, yet. Liam had been hovering for hours in an attempt to make sure we were on time, this time, but we had all just ignored him, naturally.

Harry appeared in the doorway, his mop of curls looking slightly disheveled. I poked at his hair in a failed attempt to fix it (you really could never fix the curls) and he slapped my hand away.

"Touchy, aren't we?" I raised an eyebrow at Curly and he rolled his eyes.

"No, Lou, I've just got this hairstyle down to a T. Apparently the fans like it messy," He shrugged.

"Continue the conversation on the way to the car," Liam ordered as he all but shoved Harry and I out the door, Niall and Zayn following behind.

"Someone's been going through fan accounts lately," Zayn laughed.

Harry only rolled his eyes. We all quickly pushed ourselves into Liam's hummer, unsurprised when we all just barely fit. The hummer had been Liam's idea, something a fan had suggested over twitter quite a while ago. Leave it to him to go out and actually buy one. Apparently, he had always wanted one but had never had the money to buy it, so here we were. Of course, it was just a little but small, but we made it work to please Daddy Direction himself.

Harry was practically sitting on my lap, Niall unvaryingly sprawled across the seat. The three of us were usually the ones stuck in the back, though that didn't bother me in the slightest. Being behind the wheel meant there was always a risk the paparazzi would find us.

We could've had a driver, but you see, we tended to get a little rowdy in the car and every driver we ever had flat-out refused to drive us around in a hummer, claiming they didn't want to be quite that close to us, which was highly offensive. We weren't that bad. Besides, we weren't children; we could easily drive ourselves around, we just had to be careful and couldn't go far.

We were currently on our way to Liam's house to celebrate Christmas which was close to a week away but we had worked out a system so that we could be with each band member and their family one night each during the week of the holiday. It was complicated, but it was easiest. As we pulled out of the garage, we couldn't help but be fascinated with the snow falling around us. It seemed to be getting thicker by the minute.

"Liam, you sure you're alright to drive in this?" Zayn asked, warily. The last thing any of us wanted was to wreck the week of Christmas.

Liam was saved from responding by his obnoxious ringtone. He quickly pressed the speaker button and set it down on the dashboard.

"Mum? Is something going on?"

"Oh no," She replied, though her tone said differently. "The storm's just getting quite rough out here."

"Are you alright?" Liam asked, concerned. He pressed the button to speed up the windshield wipers and pulled over to the side of the road.

"Of course, honey. I just think it'd be best if you and the boys stayed home this year," She suggested.

"Mum, it's for Christmas, though!"

She sighed. "I'm sure we'll figure something out, but for now, I want you boys home and safe from this weather."

"Alright, Mum," Liam spoke, sounding defeated. "I love you and I'll talk to you later."

He ended the call and groaned. "Why is there a bloody blizzard tonight of all nights?"
