"Focus, forehand. Backhand. Toedrag. Shoot. Got that all?" Mike asked me.
"Yeah, sure thing coach! It's not as easy as you make it look though," I replied.
"Go passs with Brady," Mike hinted.
I then went over to pass with Brady. So we passed for a few minutes in awkward silence. Then he finally asked how my summer has been so far, so we talked for a while about our summers. Then we later went on talking and talking and passing and passing. We weren't really paying attention so when Mike had everybody else switch to backhand we were still doing forehand. We went drill after drill after drill talking the whole time and about pretty much nothing.
Training was drawing a near end. But then something odd happened. My mom walked in and Mike went out to talk to her. She was crying. About 5 minutes later Mike walked in and asked for me to come over to him, so I did. Mike then told me I needed to go and my mom would tell me why later. So I went out to the car and started heading home.
I asked my mom, "Why?"
"Travis killed himself. No one knows why. Only how," She told me, "Your gonna have to tell your brother and sister."
The rest of the drive home was quiet and full of tears. When we got home I first went up to my sisters room and sat at the end of her bed quietly and then told her. Then I went down to my brothers room and told him.
I was having a hard afternoon and decided to go to the track to try to relieve some stress, while at the track Isaac had seemed to notice something was wrong. When I went biking down the road to take a breather, he followed me. He asked me what was wrong so I told him. He had nothing to say. When we got to the end of the road he turned to me and said I really like you. Then he gave me a hug and said that we might wanna head back and that he'd text me later.
