Aliyah-

I laid on the floor of Ethan's room as he sat on his bed talking to someone on the phone.

"Yeah okay okay. Yeah I said I would!" He said getting angry.

I sat up seeing his face red. I stood up and walked over to sit by him. I started to rub his back trying to calm him down.

"Okay bye." He said hanging up.

"What's wrong?" I asked calmly.

"It's just my dad. Ever since Gray passed he's been so rude and bossy. He doesn't trust me anymore." Ethan said putting his head in his hands.

I didn't say anything. He talked about Grayson so casually. Like it was normal. It's been almost 2 years since it happened, but we're all still hurt from it.

"Hey, It's okay." I said wrapping my arms around him.

He tried to keep up the bad boy status at school, and with the guys around, but when he's with me, he's more vulnerable. I've been his best friend for 10 years and we're as close as ever.

"I'm sorry." He said leaning into me.

He was trying not to cry. I rubbed his back. He hated crying. I hated crying too.

"Let's forget about this for a while. The guys and Naomi are almost here, and I know you're really excited to see Naomi." I said smirking at him.

I met Naomi first day of 8th grade and we've been best friends ever since. As much as I love Ethan, I need to have some girl time every once in a while.

Naomi and Ethan have had a little thing going on for a while. They both like each other, but none of them makes a move.

Naomi has also talked about this other guy named Mike. She can't choose between him and Ethan, and I don't know if I should tell him or not.

"Shut up." He said blushing. He lightly punched my arm.

We heard a doorbell ring downstairs and me and Ethan looked at each other before racing down the stairs.

He always made it to the door before me, but it's just because he pushes me out of the way.

"Bitch!" I yelled from the living room as he smiled opening the door.

"Hey!!" Aaron yelled with everyone else following in after him.

"Oh shit, you guys busy?" Aaron joked raising an eyebrow.

"Ew shut up." I said walking over giving him a hug.

Aaron was definitely the nicest out of all Ethan's friends. He made the most jokes, but he was so easy to talk to and he was damn good at comforting people, he was also gay so it was easy to talk about guys with him.

"Hey, Liyah!" Sam said walking over to hug me.

"Hey! I haven't seen you in a hot minute." I said seeing Sam smile.

"For real. We need to hang out soon." He said smirking at me.

I smiled and rolled my eyes. Me and Sam have a... special relationship. Ethan said he doesn't like it when Sam and I are alone together, but I never do what he says.

Jack walked in, and I smiled. Jack was one of my favorite people on earth. When he's sober he's pretty chill and laid back, but when we get drunk we are the funnest people in the room.

"Hey, jacky boy." I said high fiving him.

"Hey, liyah. I didn't know you were here." Jack said looking me straight in the eye, raising an eyebrow.
