Chapter 1: Watched

This is my first story, so please bare with me.

Ariela P.O.V.

*beep beep beep beep*

I woke up to the sound of my alarm. "Ughhh" I groaned to myself as i sat up rubbing my eyes. Damn... why do I have to work on my birthday? I work at a well know salon in New York city. I moved here about three years ago after I graduated beauty school. I'm originally from Los Angeles, but now I live in a beautiful condo with my best friend Alysia. We've been bestfriends for seven years. I went to school with her back in L.A. She's practically my sister.

I got out of bed and grabbed my phone off the charger. I went into the bathroom and took a quick shower.

After I finished rinsing the conditioner out of my light brown curls, I stepped out and wrapped a towel around my body. I walked over to my closet to pick out an outfit. I was examining all my options as I spotted a baby pink short sleeve shirt with a pocket on the left side. I grabbed my white pants with the holes in the thigh and knee and my nude sandals. I laid the clothes on my bed and quickly put on lotion and got dressed.

As I was trying to tame my curls, Alysia walked in. "Happy birthday boo!" She said as she hugged me. "Thanks baby!" I hugged her back. "When you get home I'm taking you out" she winked. "Okay!" I responded trying to hurry and finish putting on my makeup.

I ran down the stairs grabbing a muffin, my phone, my keys, my purse, and my apron on my way out. "Bye Alysia I love you!" I yelled as I shut the door behind me. I quickly got into my bmw and drove off to work.

"It's about time you showed up! Happy birthday love" Leanna said with a wink. "Yeah yeah yeah" I replied with a wink also. I put on my apron and waited for my 8:00 a.m. appointment.

It was my lunch break and I was on my way out when I was stopped by all the girls in the shop. "Happy birthday to you.." they sang. "Thank you guys. I love you!" I said as I pulled them into a group hug. I walked out and got into my car.

As I shut the door, I felt uneasy. Like someone was watching me. I looked all around and no one was looking at me. It was probably just my imagination.

Chris P.O.V.

She is so beautiful. I sat up fully and I watched as she pulled out of the parking lot. She almost caught me. I followed her until we both pulled into a Wendy's parking lot.

She parked her car and I parked right next to her. I quickly got out and ran over to grab the door for her. "Thank you!" She said with a smile. "You're welcome Ariela." I said with a wicked smile.

Ariela P.O.V.

Am I crazy, or did he just say my name? The way he smiled at me made it creepy. Maybe I've cut his hair or something. It's still weird he remembered my name. I quickly walked away and got in line.

I was next in line and I was glad. The whole time I've been in this line that guys was staring at me. Everytime I turned around he was looking at me. Man this guy is really creeping me out.

I got my food and went and sat at a booth by the window. I pulled out my phone and shot Alysia a quick text.

Me: hey boo

Alysia: hey baby, so im gonna tell you where im taking you tonight.

Me: okay spill it!

Alysia: im taking you to that new club that just opened.

Me: yay! I cant wait!!!!

Alysia: I knoooow im the best. Lol but hey I gtg see ya later.

I put my phone back in purse and continued to eat.

Chris P.O.V.

I was up next to order. All I got was a small drink. As I was filling up my cup, I made sure to see where she sat down. She was sitting by herself at a booth by the window. Damn she is so gorgeous, especially with the sun shining on her. Soon she'll be mine. Forever....

Ariela P.O.V.

As I was walking out to get in my car I noticed someone leaning against my car. My heart started to race when I saw who it was. It was that guy. "Fuck.." I mumbled to myself as I walked over to him.

"Um can I help you?" I asked smiling trying to be as polite as I could. "Actually yeah, I just wanted to tell you how beautiful you are ma." He said with a smile. "Thank you." I said returning the smile. "I'm Chris!" He said sticking out his hand intending for me to shake it. "I'm Ar.." "Ariela" he said looking into my eyes. "Yeah.. I kinda have to get back to work." I said shakily. "It's okay, soon we'll be alone with all the time in the world." He said with a smirk as he walked away.

So many thoughts are going through my mind. What did he mean when he said that? Who is this guy?!

Chris P.O.V.

Ariela seemed scared when I said her name. She should be...

I got in my car and started to pull out of the parking lot. Time to get everything ready for tonight.
