The Day I Met Him

(Haruka's pov)

It has been 3 years since my sister got killed by a human and now my mom and dad only have me, I realy want to go to the surface and explore but my dad doesn't want me to since I am the prince and he wants me to take the throne when he dies. I'm 19 years old almost 20 so maybe i can ask if I'm aloud to go up to the surface now. I swim up to the throne room with my heart beating in my chest. I bow down to my mom and dad as a sign of respect

"son is there something you need?" I take a deep breath and then decide to just say it "dad can I go to the surface?" when I look at him I see anger in his eyes "your sister got killed by the creatures that live there and you want to go there!?" I freak out a little "but dad that was 3 years ago!" then my mom shouts at me "Haruka go to your room!" I swim away and shout back at her "it's haru not Haruka!" I fall on my bed and cover my face with my hands. ofcourse I couldn't ask.

why would he change? I look in the mirror and notice that I cried again. Suddenly I get a great idea I go to my friend Ocean he's from a diffrent world where he is the prince" hey Ocean!" he looks at me and smiles "oh hey haru" we hug each other and do our special hand shake "what's wrong haru you look sad" "well I'm not aloud to go to the surface so I need your help" ocean's eyes start to glow of excitement "I know exactly what you need" he gives me an assassin hoodie "these are given to the warriors that spy on the humans if you wear this you will look like one of them"

I smile "thanks Ocean I'll go tommorow morning so come early to wish me luck" Ocean nods "I will I promise" The night takes long but then it's finally time to start my plan. and as promised Ocean is waiting for me "good luck haru" Ocean pats my shoulder "I'll come back I promise" I swim away while Ocean is waving me goodbye. I reach the beach where the water is getting shallow so I decide to sit on a rock further away from the beach just to look if there's no humans on the beach but to my surprise there's only one human on the beach.

I look at the human and realize that it's so early that ofcourse most humans are still asleep. I suddenly spot someting in his hand its sharp and he's cutting his skin with it so I just take the risk and swim to the beach where the human is sitting at the side of the water I get close enough that my tail isn't visible but my chest and head are

"hey stop it!" the human looks at me and then I notice the human is a male "I said stop! Don't hurt yourself" I grab the sharp item out of his hand but I don't think I did it right cuz it cuts in my hand and my hand starts to bleed. I look down at my hand and let out a soft hiss.

The guy reaches out his hand to me and tries to pull me up but I instantly pull back "don't!" I yell in a panic he looks at me in shock "why can't I pull you up?" he finally speaks up. I feel almost hypnotized by his voice. Suddenly my vision starts to blur and my head starts to hurt 'dang I forgot about the cut on my hand' the world starts to spin and I pass out

The strange boy passes out right in front of me. I didn't even mean to cut myself on that knife but he thought I was doing it on purpose. I try to pull him up and suddenly notice why he refused 'He's a merman' for a few minutes I try to think of what I should do next. I carefully grab my jacket and soak it in the water. I then wrap it  around his tail and lift him up. I carry him to my car and put him down in the front seat. I stare at the strange hoodie he's wearing "I'll ask later"

After a long drive I arrive at my house. And since I live close to the sea I have a huge tank in the garage. I place him in the tank and leave to my bedroom go to sleep.
