Chapter 1: Tutor

Lilly has a tutoring business to make a little extra money. Never in a million years would she think she'd get this call.

"Lilly's tutoring how may I help you?"

"Hi this is Jacob Bellington."

Lilly couldn't speak she was so shocked

"Lilly? You there?"

"Yes I'm sorry Jacob. What class do you need help in?" Lilly said trying to sound professional.

"9th grade math. Algebra" He stated.

"I'm available Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. What day or days would you like to meet?" Lilly asked

"Tuesday's and Friday's." Jacob said.

"Well today is Tuesday. Would you like to meet today? Lilly asked hoping for a yes.

"Yes, I have a test next week." Jacob said.

"Meet in the math lab after school" Lilly said trying not to sound excited.

"Thank you!" And with that he hung up.

In any other world they would have been invisible to eachother.

The rest of the day seemed to drag on for Lilly. Just waiting for the bell to ring. Finally at 2:30 the bell rang. She made her way to the math lab and waited for Jacob.

"Hey" Jacob said "sorry I'm a little late" he smiled

"It's okay. Let's start the lesson"

"Were working on graphs in class. Everyone can do it except me" Jacob said trying not to sound upset.

"it's okay. When your graphing a line make sure the formula is in y= mx+b. Uh.. Jacob are you listening?" Lilly asked.

"yeah, sorry Lilly"

"It's fine back to the lesson"

After they finished Lilly was packing up and decided to ask Jacob why he was so distracted.

"Why were you do distracted?"

"Oh, I just was thinking about sports"

He could say the truth, he couldn't say she's cute.
