' Gotham always had it's Batman. Metropolis with Superman. Central City with Flash. And soon on. But when I came into town, everything changed. Now, if I go into any city, people knew who I am. Captain Marvel. Or Vers, for my companions. I wasn't born Earth like our superpowered friends (except Flash and Batman). I was born on Hala, I spent my first 5 years on Hala before being sent off during the war against the Skrulls, shapeshifting nasty little critters that killed my people. Unfortunately, I'm the only survivor. And possibly, that's all I will ever be. But after that, Batman and I meet as kids and we became instant friends. Just wish I could see that stubborn little teddy bear again. '
