the pair were in the car. joey had offered to give lexi a ride home like the gentleman he is. lexi scanned through her instagram comments, a sigh leaving her lips. joey looked at her with raised eyebrows. "you know you don't have to read all of your comments right?" joey said, concern evident in his voice. "i know but it just gives me validation that i'm not good enough, you know?" lexi said with a small smile and a shrug.
"hey stop saying that. you're perfect just the way you are lex. i'm sorry that you have to go through this. i'm really bad at comforting others but honestly, i speak nothing but the truth. i wouldn't want any other girl next to me right now. i know it sounds corny and we've only just met hours ago but hey, i really like your presence." joey said with a comforting smile.
lexi smiled as she switched off her phone. she smiled back and turned up the music from the radio. "it's tame impala my baby!!!" lexi said as she began jamming to the song playing. joey chuckled as too started jamming to the song, not forgetting to divert his attention on road at all times.
the pair had a good time, their chemistry showing throughout the day. neither of them realised but both of them were starting to develop actual feelings for each other.
