Since neither Emma nor Jack talked, Emma's mind wandered back in time, to a very special night.

"Emma!" Jack had shouted after her in the hallway. Emma stopped and turned around with a smile. She waited until he had walked up to her, and then she greeted him with a hug.

"Will you go and see The Greatest Showman with me on Saturday night?" he asked her.

"That's a musical movie" she pointed out. "And you don't like musicals"

"But you do" he had winked at her and she had melted. "And I know you want to watch it"

"To answer your question: yes, I want to see it. Especially with you"

That reply earned a quick kiss from Jack.

On Saturday night Emma had gotten dressed in her favorite black dress with yellow flowers. She had her hair in a low bun and wore a pair of ballerina flats.

Jack, who had recently passed his driving test picked her up in his dad's car. Every time Jack and Emma were going on dates Jack would come inside and talk to her parents and joke around with Eddie. Emma loved how well Jack fitted in with her family.

Emma had only met Jack's parents three times and were no where near as close to them as Jack was with her family. His parents worked a lot at late hours and traveled a lot as well. Though, Emma had met Olivia, Jack's older sister, a few more times, since she worked at the reception desk at a hotel, whose restaurant Emma and Jack would go and get free dinners, using checks that Olivia received from the hotel.

Emma and Jack walked out to his car and he drove them to the movies.

The theater was packed with people, but Emma and Jack quickly found their seats. When the theater darkened Jack grabbed Emma's hand and they held hands throughout the entire movie.

Emma, who loved musicals, loved that movie. When the movie was over, Jack had said that it was visible all over Emma's face.

"It's how you looked at me that time when I came over with Ben & Jerry's and "Hairspray" when you were sick" he chuckled grabbed her hand again. "So you wanna come back to my place?" Jack then had asked. Emma had said yes and texted her parents letting them know where she would be.

Jack's house had been very dark. Apparently his mum was in Canada, doing some work and his dad was working the night at the fire department and Olivia was working the night at the hotel. So Jack and Emma would be alone in his house.

Jack led Emma to his room and she had an idea of what he wanted to do. She wanted it too.

Jack closed the door behind him before he looked at Emma for what felt like forever. Emma felt completely safe under his gaze.

Then Jack pulled her in for a kiss and the kiss deepened and their hands explored each other's bodies. Emma could feel Jack against her leg, and she got excited.

Jack led Emma to the bed where they both fell down and a small squeak left Emma's mouth.

Afterwords they were both breathing heavily.

Jack ran downstairs to get something and came back with two mugs of hot chocolate. He handed one mug to Emma and got back under the covers.

"That was my first time" Jack admitted as he stroke Emma's back.

"Mine too" Emma mumbled with her lips against the mug.

"I'm glad it was with you" Jack said as his hand traveled further down Emma's body.

"Again?" Emma asked smirking, setting the mug on the bedside table.

Emma returned to reality when Hannah and Nathan came back from the bathrooms, still holding hands. A pang of jealousy hit her. She had had that. But it had suddenly gone away. Thanks to Jack.

Hannah and Emma went to Hannah's car while Jack and Nathan went to Nathan's.

"I'm sorry, Emma. I didn't know. If I had, I would've told you. I yelled at Nathan when we went to the bathrooms"

Emma looked at her. "It's okay. It had to happen someday, right?"

During the rest of the drive back they talked about what they had liked about the movie.

Jack texted her again that night.

Jack:
"Emma I really want to
talk to you and to
explain what happened.
Will you meet me? Please?
You can pick the location"

Emma thought long and hard about her decision. What did she have to lose? She figured she might as well hear him out. Emma texted Jack back.

Emma:
"After school at our
usual spot"
