You are heading to the shower after your gym class. They only have common showers at the Brit school and you always make sure to go in there after Greg and his little gang are done because they are fucking bullies and you try to avoid trouble when you can.

It didn't took them long to figure out you were gay - which was not a secret anyway, you are not ashamed of that - and they made sure everyone in the school knew it. This didn't helped with you making friends tho...Well, the girls were eager to hang out with you but you couldn't talk about comic and superheroes movies with them. Okay maybe a bit with Jess and Vicky. Anyway...

You walk in and - shit! - find Greg and Marvin.

-- Oh look who's here Tom, snickers Greg, your boyfriend!

-- Fuck off, you hear someone else shouting.

You glance at him. Tom is in your class too. You've never really talked but you kinda admire him. I mean have you seen him dancing? And he can sing too, and he does super dope flips! And he was just amazing in The Impossible! You wish you could be friends...

But back at the showers.

-- Yeah, says Marvin, you faggots want to be alone so you can wank each other uh?!

-- I'm not fucking gay, shouts Tom.

He makes a move to shove Marvin back but Greg sees it and push him hard from the side. Tom loses his balance and slips on the wet floor. Your body reacts before your brain and you put yourself between Tom and those 2 twats.

-- Leave him alone, you say lifting your fists.

-- Ouh! I'm scared, Greg mocks you.

But he knows you take boxing classes and he is not stupid enough to come at you.

-- Whatever, he says stepping away, I'm just gonna leave you go suck his dick!

You wait for them to leave and turn around to face Tom. He's already up on his feet and you can see he looks uneased.

-- You didn't have to, he grumble.

-- Well, I can't resist a chance to send Greg to bugger off!

He walks past you to grab his towel and wrap it around his waist.

-- I'm not gay, he blurts out.

-- I know, you shrug.

-- But you are, he states.

-- Yeah...But I was not about to ask for a BJ in return if that is your concern.

He glances at you and you give him a smile. You're trying to play it cool but you're actually a bit intimidated by him.

-- They are just jealous of you, you say before the silence get awkward. You're good at everything you do and you already have a career.

-- It's not that big of a career, he frowns.

-- Still bigger than any of us. I thought you were amazing in The Impossible!

You see him frowning even more and looking at you sideways.

-- I'm not trying to hit on you or anything, you blurt out. I just-...Maybe we could be friends?

Damn you sound ridiculous!

-- I- I don't know, Tom replies after clearing his throat.

That's just typical...You feel a pinch of deception and lower your head.

-- I..., Tom starts again, gotta go.

Two days later, you trip on your laces and spill your things on the floor trying to avoid falling. The Spider Man comic book you were about to read during lunch break slides far in the hallway. You pick up your school stuff but by the time you reach your comic book, Greg already has it.

-- Guys in skin tight suit make you hot, uh, he snarls. I bet you wank yourself on the shit!

-- Well, you're holding it in your hand so if I do-

He makes a disgusting sound and let go of it. It slides at Tom's feet...

-- What's going on here, ask a teacher coming along.

-- Nothing Ma'am, says Greg glaring at me.

-- I need to talk to you, she says to him.

-- But I haven't done anything, he shouts.

-- About your last grades, she finishes.

Greg turns red as a tomato and follows the teacher. A few students giggles but he glares at them and they stop. You feel bad for him...but not for too long.

You look back at Tom who has actually opened your comic book and is flipping the pages.

-- You like Spider Man, you asks.

-- If he likes Spider Man, smirks his friend Harrison standing next to him. Dude you should see his room!

-- I've never read the comics tho, says Tom.

-- You should, they are even better than the movies!

-- Maybe I will, Tom says handing you back the comic book. How did you like the reboot they made last year?

His smile is genuine and we start debating on which one is the best Spider Man between Tobey's and Andrew's. A few of your friends join the conversation, Harrison and Simon on his side, Jess and Vicky on yours. And you all head to the cafeteria chatting.

-- I mean, says Jess as you guys sit in a table. Andrew is way more sexy that Tobey!

-- Damn right he is, you reply.

You see Tom glancing at you and hold his gaze. Eventually he smiles and says:

-- I guess. But Gwen Stacy can't win over MJ for me!

-- Are you kidding me, says Harrison. No way, Gwen is the one!

-- She's awesome, agrees Vicky.

-- Okay, okay, fine, says Tom. The Amazing Spider Man wins. But any Spider Man is still better than Batman!

The way he said it makes you laugh, except Harrison who is scowling. You meet Tom's eyes, you smile to each other, and just like that, you think you became friends...
