Chapter 2

I’m not entirely sure how long I was unconscious-minutes, days, weeks, it felt all the same to me as I drifted through this endless dark abyss. However, when I did finally open my eyes, I was instantly greeted with the face of the strange girl from the forest less than a foot away from mine and smiling like a crazy person, and like anyone, my first instinctive action was to scream and push her away. Though this effectively increased the distance between me and the girl, my harsh sounding shriek had caused a sharp bolt of pain to shoot through my throat. I cringed and brought a hand up to massage my throat, in hopes it’d lessen the pain. I took a quick glance at my surroundings, only seeing dingy grey walls, a single ceiling light above me, and a simple single size bed that I was sitting on. During the time I was looking around, the girl, who seemed unfazed by my cry, proceeded to walk towards a nearby door and call for someone outside of the room I was in with an immense smile plastered to her face.

“Hey! Guys! She’s awake!!” She hollered at whoever was outside the door. I watched the girl curiously, that is, until I saw who walked through the door a minute later. My jaw dropped to the floor as I watched in awestruck as two impossibly tall, white skinned men, one with a plain black suit and a red tie, the other a black multi-color polka dotted suit, a red bow tie and black top hat sauntered in. ‘T-the Slender Man and the Splendor Man?! Aren’t they supposed to be, you know, made up?!’ My mind questioned over and over again, barely registering the fact that the two creepypasta figures and the girl headed towards me. I eventually snapped out of this frozen state when the Splendor Man spoke up.

“See?I told you she’d get better soon!” He announced happily as he beamed down at the young red head, ruffling up her already tangled locks. I could feel a slight pang of jealousy in my heart as I sat there, looking upon the two’s affectionate moment. The girl giggled as she swatted Splendor’s large hand away before turning to the Slender Man, who had secluded himself in a far corner. More specifically, a place as far away from me as possible, just watching from afar.

“Come on, Slendy~! Come say hi!” The girl urged him, motioning him to come closer. The Slender Man seemed hesitant for a brief moment, but soon nodded and slowly started creeping closer and closer until he was standing in front of me, cocking his head to the side as he seemed to stare at me. Unsure what else to do, I pinched myself as hard as I could, thinking that this was only some weird ass dream that I needed to wake up from before things got even stranger. It hurt like hell, but lo and behold, the Slender Man, Splendor Man, and the girl were still there, looking at me as if I was the crazy one here.

“You ok?” The girl asked, sounding quite confused.

“Where am I?” I practically demanded. I didn’t care who answered. I didn’t care to answer the red headed girl’s question. I just wanted some answers as to what the hell is going on. Lucky for me, Splendor was kind enough to give that to me.

“You’re at our home, sweetheart.” He said sweetly, obviously trying not to sound too concerned but was failing miserably at that. “Corinne found you out in the forest about a mile and a half away. You were in pretty bad shape when we found you. I honestly thought you were already dead.”

“Corinne?” I repeated the name as I tilted my head to the side in confusion, my voice still sounding unbelievably scratchy. Not even a second later, the girl piped up again.

“That’d be me~!” She practically sang out with joy. “And I assume you already know who these two are. So,” The girl-Corinne-leaned in closer and flashed me a bright, toothy smile. “What’s you’re name?” For what felt like a long time, I was quiet, just staring down at my pale, cut adorned hands.
