Olivia's POV

I took one last look at dad's grave. Then I knelt down, and put white roses right next to his stone. "I love you, daddy. Rest in peace. Talk to you at the new house." I stood up trying to fight back a tear, but a whole sob came out.

My mom held my head and stroked my hair. "It's okay honey. He knows it's better for us." And we waved goodbye. I will probably never see that stone again that read:

Rest in peace, big guy

My dad died from a heart attack about two years ago. He was so bright, funny and so healthy. It just happened instantly.

When I climbed into the car, I looked out my window. I saw all those graves, lined up one by one. They looked sad, and filled you with sorrow when you glance at the little gifts people brought for them. Every person had a special someone, just like me and my dad.

I thought over that day when my dad had the heart attack when we drove.

~Flash Back~

It was December. Just one week until Christmas break. I was at school, in my 8th grade science class, wearing my favourite outfit. A long sleeved daisy shirt with bright blue jeans and keds. I remember, getting that call from my mom right in the middle of class. "Olivia, please turn off your phone. It is really disturbing." Said Mrs.Richards. I reached into my pocket and took out my phone and silenced it. "Thank you," she said and got back to talking about the earth.

When the bell rang, the vice principal was standing right at the door. "Olivia, come to my office please." And I followed him into his big, modern office. I had a bad feeling in my stomach. "Please sit," and I sat. "Mr.Briggs did I do something wrong?" I asked. He nodded and said "No no. Something terrible happened at home." Then I got that gagging feeling. "Your mom is waiting for you. Please proceed to your locker and pack up and come back here."

I did what I was told. I came back and saw mom. She looked worried. "Thank you, Mr.Briggs." And we headed out and into the car. "Mom, what's wrong?" I felt sick. Really sick.

"Dad isn't well. I need to go back to work I have a really important meeting. Can you take care of dad while I'm gone?" I took a deep breathe and nodded. She dropped me at home and I saw dad sitting on the couch watching tv. "Hi, dad." I said. He looked at me. "Hi, Liv. Can I get a water?" Then I blew him a kiss and fetched him water. "Thanks, girlie." And I sat on the couch next to him. He looked like he was in pain. Poor, daddy. After a while he seemed fine so I decided to go upstairs and take off my makeup. But before I did that, I took a glance at him. He seemed alright to me. Well, I was wrong. Fricken wrong. I didn't relize that was the last glance I would see him without being in pain.

I ran upstairs and went into my bathroom. I spotted my make up remover and started taking off my eye liner. Before you know it, my life has never been so terrifying.

I heard screaming and aching coming from dad. "Help me! Oooooooo, ughhh! Liv!" Holy shit! I ran down stairs and saw dad. On the floor, with his to hands gripping to his chest. His face was red, and he was in terrible pain, like he never felt before. "Owwwww Liv!" He yelled. He screamed and I was there panicking. "Dad! Daddy! I'm calling 911!" Then I ran over to the nearest phone.

"911! Help me! My dad is having a heart attack!" I threw the phone and ran to him. "Daddy, I love you." Then kissed him on the cheek and tried to help him up.

That was the last sentence he ever heard me say until he died.
