(A/N: btw most of these upcoming chapters might be a lot shorter because that was kind of the intro I guess? Idk, but I'm probably not gonna have the motivation every time to write this. :/ I will try my best babies <3)
That party went very smooth for Taehyung, really. Even though it was only the next morning it felt like forever ago that Taehyung was singing karaoke like an idiot with Jungkook and their friends. Taehyung had gotten Jungkook's number but hadn't texted it yet. Though that was to be expected because to put it simply, he'd just woken up with a hangover and wasn't having fun.
Everything hurt, like, a lot, but Taehyung felt like it was definitely worth it. Even though Taehyung wasn't doing anything at the moment, he felt tired. Taehyung didn't even though what time it was till' Jimin knocked on his door.
"Hey, sleepy-ass, they wanna hang out again tonight, arcade this time," Jimin yelled from the door. Taehyung replied with a disgruntled yell, but apparently, Jimin didn't hear it, smacking open the door. "Yah! Taehyung did you hear me!?" He yelled, to which Taehyung just tossed a pillow at him aggressively. "Yes damn it, I literally yelled!" Taehyung said, rolling back.
"Put a shirt on cause your boyfriend is here to see you," Jimin said, whipping the pillow back at Taehyung. Taehyung went completely silent, looking back. "Wait who now. I don't have a boyfriend." Jimin looked at him dumbfounded. "Bruh the guy you literally hung out with for like nine straight hours. He's here! He said he felt bad or something-" Jimin replied, turning around. "Oh hey, Jungkook," Jimin said, waving. Jungkook smiled, said hello, but that wasn't enough time for Taehyung to close his door. Jimin had moved out of the way because of Taehyung getting up almost immediately, but Jungkook looked inside, seeing a shirtless Taehyung staring at him.
"Oh hi-" Jungkook said almost unphased before Taehyung shut his door and put on a shirt. Taehyung tried his best to fix his hair, but it had been a couple of minutes and he could tell Jimin was getting pissed off. In a good way, of course.
Taehyung opened his door, hair still a bit messy. "Hi Jungkook- Uhm, sorry about that." Taehyung laughed sheepishly. Jungkook laughed too, then smiled. "Oh don't worry about it. I came by to say sorry." He replied. Taehyung was confused, tilting his head. "For..?"
"Well I got you totally blackout drunk and I felt kinda bad. So, I decided to come over. Namjoon got Jimin's number for me because you weren't responding. I'm glad you're not dead." Jungkook said, just smiling throughout the entire thing like Taehyung wasn't dying from happiness. Taehyung just sat back down on his bed. "I have a chair, you can come in if you want." Jungkook sat down on the chair but had his eyes on the bed though. Taehyung, in a bit of a daze, didn't seem to notice Jungkook would've rather sat on the bed.Jungkook pulled out his phone. "So, you're fine right?" Jungkook asked, obviously knowing he was. Taehyung nodded, leaning back on his pillows. "Just a really shitty headache. I normally watch some movies but I prefer watching movies with snacks and Jimin ate all of ours." Taehyung replied, making the 'Jimin ate all of ours' loud enough for Jimin to hear. He could hear Jimin yelling something in the back, but was too busy hearing and loving Jungkook's laugh.
Jungkook stood up, "I can go get you your snacks then." Taehyung stared at him, then shook his head. "No, I wouldn't want to trouble you," Taehyung mumbled. Jungkook shrugged, "I don't have much else to do so, might as well, right?" (A/N: TAEHYUNG JUST SAY YES.) Taehyung sat there for a second, then just sighed. "Well, if you insist but I'll pay you back later okay?" Taehyung informed him, a bit reluctantly. Jungkook triumphantly looked at Taehyung, asking, "So, what kind of snacks do you want?"
And just like that, within five minutes Jungkook was gone getting Taehyung snacks. Taehyung felt really honored, he did, for his dream-boy to go and get him snacks, but Taehyung felt a bit bad. Taehyung didn't particularly have the money to pay him back either, which didn't make Taehyung feel any better. Taehyung just got himself ready to watch movies for a couple of hours before going to the arcade. (a/n: lowkey was it Friday or Saturday they went to the bar lmao but deadass, it's gonna be Sunday today.)
Taehyung heard Jungkook arrive again twenty-ish minutes later. Taehyung had set up one of his favorite movies and a ton of blankets. There was tea and a humidifier going. Thank you Jimin the model. Taehyung had quickly dropped his remote into his little corner of anti-hangover and ran out to the main room where he saw Jimin talking to Jungkook.
"Kookie!" Taehyung yelled in a bit of a desperate tone. Jungkook waved with a bag in his hand. When Taehyung asked Jungkook to buy him some of his favorite snacks, Taehyung didn't mean all of them. Jimin turned, and waved, yelling, "Anti-hangover?" To which Taehyung just nodded.
Jimin waved, walking out of the way for Jungkook. Jungkook thanked Jimin for whatever and walked over to Taehyung. Taehyung quickly thanked him and expected Jungkook to leave but even after taking the bag Jungkook had followed Taehyung into his room.
"Wait what are you doing?" Taehyung asked, utterly lost, to be honest. Jungkook blushed and bit and scratched his neck. "Oh, well I don't know I guess I kind of thought I'd stay to keep an eye on you. I do this for Yoongi too, sorry, I didn't mean to uh-" Jungkook began to ramble. Before Taehyung could pass out from 'hotboyisgonnawatchamoviewithme' syndrome, he frantically replied, "Oh! No, it's okay. Jimin doesn't normally hang out here because of work. Not to say he's a bad friend, he's just busy." Jungkook smiled, "Oh, great then!" he laughed.
Before Taehyung knew it, they were both wrapped up in blankets. At first, they had a bit of issue because Jungkook was sitting on the chair but looked kinda uncomfortable. Jungkook crawled into Taehyung's bed, taking his shoes and sweater off, but didn't really get too close to Taehyung. Touched his hair and whatnot, but not a whole lot. Eventually, they both got an equal amount of blankets but didn't share, to Taehyung's disappointment.
"You look kinda cold," Jungkook said, noticing Taehyung had kept trying to open himself up to Jungkook's warmth. Taehyung, knowing his plan had been foiled, turned red. "Oh- yeah- I- Uh- Yeah! I'm r-really cold!" Taeyhung stuttered, barely getting the words out of his mouth. He couldn't tell if Jungkook saw through his lie or not but must've not after pulling Taehyung into the covers with him and wrapping his arms around Taehyung.
'He must do this with Yoongi too. Damn these flirty cute boys,' Taehyung thought, cuddling into Jungkook's chest. The movie went on, and to Taehyung's surprise, Jungkook seemed to be into it too. It was just some chick-flick romance that Taehyung was an absolute sucker for.
Jungkook had watched the entire thing, mostly not talking which Taehyung did appreciate. Not that he didn't want to hear Jungkook talk, just that he did enjoy the movie a lot too. The warmth of Jungkook kept him really calm, and after a while, Taehyung got really sleepy. He must've fallen asleep because it was insanely bright outside by the time he woke up.
To Taehyung's surprise, he was sitting in Jungkook's lap, curled up like a baby. Jungkook was stroking his hair while on his phone. So sweet to not even move. Taehyung was tempted to just not move and stay there forever, but decided to, not trying to torture this poor boy.
Jungkook smiled sweetly at him, Taehyung feeling his soul leave his body. Taehyung shook his head, looking over. "I- uh- hi Kookie. I feel a lot better, by the way, so thank you," Taehyung said leaning up. Jungkook stretched his legs. "No problem Tae, I just felt bad for getting you so drunk," Jungkook replied, waving his hand dismissively.
"Did you not drink that much?" Taehyung asked. Jungkook shrugged, "I did, but I'm fine, really!" Jungkook said, but it was obviously suspicious. Taehyung felt bad. What if this poor hungover boy sacrificed himself this early in the morning to come to help Taehyung out? This boy was too good for Mr. '2drinksandimdead'.
Jungkook had been nothing but nice to him. Taehyung had to make it up to him soon. Thankfully, they were going to an arcade, but that couldn't do a whole lot for Taehyung other than maybe show Jungkook a good time.
"D-do you want me to go then?" Jungkook asked awkwardly with a smile. Taehyung didn't respond immediately, maybe his brain was just lagging but finally, he responded, "Oh! No, it's fine, but what time is it?" Taehyung asked.
Jungkook checked his phone, "Uh about 3 p.m"
"Wait what time did you get here?"
"I'm not sure, like 11-ish? Got your snacks and stuff back half an hour later. We watched the movie until like 1:30, but I didn't wanna wake you."
Taehyung felt really honored that Jungkook would stay there just for him, really. Jungkook was a lot sweeter than Taehyung had realized. But they were just friends, it was going to stay that way. Jungkook probably liked someone way beyond Taehyung's league and Jungkook was just trying to be friendly.
Jungkook had been sitting there for a solid thirty seconds awkwardly as Taehyung just looked at him, Taehyung not realizing the fact he was having a very long interior monologue. He finally blinked and yelled, "Oh! Oh my gosh, I'm sorry I just kinda lost my train of thought. Anyways, thanks for taking care of me Jungkook!" Taehyung yelled, feeling like any second he was just gonna implode from embarrassment.
Jungkook smiled and nodded, but for some reason, deep down inside he could feel something off. Like Jungkook wanted to stay or stick around maybe. But it was so deep down inside Taehyung it's almost like he didn't notice it and continued on with whatever he was doing.
Jungkook stood up, Taehyung brushing his hands through Jungkook's hair. "Sorry, it got messed up," Taehyung said apologetically. Jungkook smiled, just scratching his neck. "Ah, no, Tae, it's fine!" Jungkook smiled that same bunny look that caught Taehyung's eye the first time. Taehyung couldn't help but return that soft look.
Jungkook had left a bit after that, and deep down inside Taehyung didn't want him to leave. It was really weird for Taehyung to feel this way. Two days straight of feeling this way. He enjoyed it, truthfully.
And luckily for Taehyung, he would see Jungkook at the arcade later tonight.
