Literal, Beauty and the Beast (GaLe)

I'm Sorry...

Levy looks down from the leaf, and sees it's a long way down.

She ponders momentarily, on how to safely descend from the bush, when she feels that odd little twitch in her left shoulder blade from before.

Her breathing stops as she turns her head to see a little, shining wing twitching with a curiosity... But a curiosity of what... What could it--- and then it hits her...

"Flight..." She murmurs, as she sees her wing twitch once more.

Her attention leads back to the silhouetted Gajeel against the glassy water. She wanted to be with him...

She feels another twitch, and she stands, and takes a step forwards... And another... And another.... Until her tiny feet touch the edge of the leaf, and she spreads her arms out with her eyes closed, ready to soar.

She tips forward...

But only a moment does her small body feel cacooned in the air, as it's blissful feel is interrupted by the warm, toughness of, skin?

Levy blinks a few times as she lies on the heavenly surface. She then pushes up, and looks to see where she was.

A hand...

She blinks further as her eyes travel up to the face which stands a few yards, in her standards, away, studying her.

She's silent as the blood, red eyes look her small body over.

She then speaks. "G-Gajeel... I thought... You were--"

"Quiet, squirt," he sighs as he looks down at the little fairy in his hand. He really... Just didn't want to be seen as some sort of monster... Or freak, in her eyes.

All is silent once more, as they look into one another's eyes, studying.

Now Gajeel, breaks the silence. "I saw an orchard across the waters. We could probably reach it by sundown if we went the dry way around." He felt bad for yelling at her, but what good were apologies?

Levy merely nods as she sits up on his hand. As she sits up, she feels something against her back. She turns, to see a large, welcoming thumb.

She swallows, before shyly wrapping her arms around it, and then burying her face into it's half way point.

Blood rushes to his cheeks, as he looks down at the little figure grasping onto his finger.

He examines her beautiful tuff of blue hair, and her tiny, little legs, before bending his thumb a bit to pat the top of the blue mass.

Levy smiles when she feels the pat. She knew with this little pat, that he was sorry, even if he was too sissy to admit it.

~moments later~

Gajeel walks with Levy like this for a small while while he makes his way to the orchard. From what he could tell, it was a beautiful orchard filled with many fruits, and lots of little, blue roses.

He smiles ever so slightly as the first rose's full details come into shape. It was so, lovely.

He then looks down at his hand, and raises an eyebrow when he hears a little snore.

Levy lays on his hand, still embracing his thumb as her little, slumbering face rests against it.

He let's out a little huff with his smile, as he brings the little fairy up to his face.

"What a little troublesome creature you are~" he whispers before puckering his lips, and letting them rest on the soft head of the tiny Levy in his hand.

Even through her sleep, blood rushes to her cheeks. And even through his toughness, blood rushes to his as well.

And as soon as the smell of the first blue rose touches his senses, he reaches forward with his free hand and plucks it, tearing off the tiny thorns in the process.

His hand holding Levy stays plastered in front of his lips as he finds the shadow of a tall, apple tree and takes homage under it.

He rests down beneath the looming tree and allows his bare back to lean against the sticky bark.

The rose then presents itself in front of his face. He smiles, and then brings it up to Levy, before tucking its thornless self into her arms which still hold on sweetly to his thumb. This only makes his smile brighten, before it dissolves away.

He can feel a brisk chill... But this doesn't make sense... A moment ago, it was spring... And now... Was it fall?

He looks up, just in time for a brown leaf to fall from the tree above him, and disintegrate upon impact of hitting his warm, hard face.
