Have you ever read anything like this:
"Say 'I' if [insert something that is happening or whatever]"?
Welp, there's an error there.
First of all, it's "aye," not "I."
"Aye" means "yes," so it would make sense if you were to say that rather than to say "I."
Second, "I" doesn't seem to fit.
Because "I" means "me," so why would you respond "me" if it's supposed to be a yes or no question?
That irks me a lot.
But yes, I get it, "aye" and "I" sound so much alike that when you hear something like this on TV, you automatically think they're saying "I."
