[1] distant Strangers again

Touko and Byakuya still sat next to each other, within an arms reach, They knew each other better than they knew themselves and yet they still treated each other like they had done each other dirty in the most wrongful way.

Makoto now sat behind byakuya and in front of Kirigiri, he quickly picked up on the obtuse behavior that had started about a month or so ago.

   Touko walked to the Teacher's desk and put her paper dowm, walking out of the classroom. nobody thought anything of it.

Byakuya had turned his work in already and was staring at the wall, a certain special invader had a grip on his mind, he kept thinking of what he was should have said to her

Togami didn't have time to think about her but when he tried to shake the thought off it just came back. He saw this coming and knew what to do in turn

"You want to transfer?!"

"Yes. My parents have signed off and I'd like to alert you." Togami explained. His principal seemed absoloutely devistated, Byakuya was top of his classes and set the bar high.

"B-But hope's peak Academy can't function without its star pupil!" He defended.

Byakuya scoffed. "Sounds like a personal problem." he stood

"And if you'll please stop wasting my time, ill find myself on my way now." walked out of the office without another word.

Byakuya and Touko passed each other in the hall, going in seprate directions, It felt like the world went in slow motion

Touko was more timid, she stared the ground as she walked, her body language screams discomfort fear and anxiety.

Togami's posture, with his hands in his pockets, his head back but eyes forward that meant he was literally looking down on you, he just reeked of arrogance.

They were strangers yet again. And im sure Touko thought Byakuya had actually given up the ghost and didnt love her or care about her anymore.

the duo were pecuilar.

Touko left for class and Byakuya left to go home, Fukawa took her seat and stared at her desk, she was afraid that she and Byakuya would never speak again, she got the anonymous checks, but she assumed that wouldn't last too much longer.

Fukawa had taken up to writing diary entries and such, no biggie.

Once her class started she barely paid attention as she was concerned about Byakuya not showing up.

"Yes Makoto?" "Not to intrude or anything but, why isnt Togami here? did something happen?"

This exchange caught Touko's attention. "Well, you didn't hear it from me... But, Togami transfered mid year, no excuse why, but he just dipped!" Their teacher explained.

Fukawa's heart dropped at the information. Togami left her and then her life entirely at the drop of a hat, who woulda thought?

Toko spent the rest of the day worried and saddened, when she got home she sorted through the mail and pulled the envelope adressed to her and tore it open, seeing that it was addressed to her for 450,000 dollars

Touko immediately knew that that was his way of saying 'this is it, this is the last check I'll send and the last time we'll correspond'.

Fukawa felt tears fall down her cheeks, her breath stopped, she knew it was over. Her life felt over.

but with that she remembered Togami telling her to lead her life as though it was, not to live because of him and for him

She saw that as a challenege, and she was ready to take it head on. Fate would draw them back together eventually right?
