Touko walked through the propped open the door, discarding the idea of finding Byakuya to say goodbye (it's been about an hour since they danced together) since she knew he'd be busy and surrounded by multiple people, talking to everyone.
"Fukawa, wait up!" She stopped in her tracks and turned around to face the blonde. "It's rude of you not to say goodbye." he said walking closer. Touko looked slightly surprised. "I'm so sorry Togami I just didn-" Byakuya stopped her from speaking with a kiss, oddly more gentle than usual.
After a moment he pulled away slightly and held her face in his hands. "You cannot stay the night unfortunately, but, are we still... In commoner phrase: on for tomorrow at that restaurant?" Touko was completely flustered but nodded. "Yeah, tomorrow. A-and don't dress up." She responded. Byakuya smiled. "Sure honey."

Toko sat at a table she'd picked out, her typical braids, but tied together with a tie behind her head, kind of a ponytail(?), a simple purple shirt and jeans. She felt nervous that Byakuya wouldn't show up, with the possibility of getting caught.
Speak of the devil. Byakuya walked in with a grey sweatshirt on, black rimmed (still thin) glasses, Jeans (wtf) and Gucci high-tops, along with a backpack on his shoulders. He practically instantaneously made eye contact with Touko, taking a seat across from her. "Fukawa." he said quietly, she just smiled as he took his backpack off and put it down next to him. "Yes?" she responded once he got comfortable.
He shook his head in dismissal to show that he it wasn't trying to get her attention, it was probably just because he was glad to say her name. "No kiss?" she joked. Byakuya rolled his eyes and leaned forward, Touko met her in the middle, connecting their lips briefly before they both leaned back into their sides of the booth again. Togami put his hand down and gestured to give him her hand.
Fukawa did so, Byakuya closed his hand, holding hers. "Have you ordered anything?" she shook her head in response, he nodded subconsciously. "Byakuya?" he looked at her again. "I missed you a whole lot." she said smiling wider. "Ditto. Catch me up on your life." he answered calmly.
"I wrote. alot" Touko said laughing. "I guess I didn't do much but miss you and write. You send my last check and it panicked me, I won't lie." Touko said, resting her chin on her other hand. Byakuya took a deep breath and looked off. "I didn't plan on stopping but when my father got suspicious I knew that I had to make a final check."
Touko nodded in a positive response. "Well. I'm not really worried about that. Wanna walk?" Byakuya turned around and glanced outside. "it's raining." Fukawa laughed. "Okay, and?" Togami rolled his eyes "There's no way in hell I'd walk in the rain." Toko looked at him with a strong smile.
"Fine. Fine, get up." Touko did as told and stood making her way to to the door, Byakuya following behind.
The duo walked, Touko seemed visibly excited the two became quickly drenched in rain. "Byakuya?" he hummed, a slight smile pulling at his lips.
"I have no idea where we're walking to," Touko said, laughing. "why don't we just go to your house?" Togami suggested. "Sure."
"Touko?" Fukawa froze slightly under the word. "Are you happy? with me?" She nodded. "No You're not." Touko looked at Byakuya slightly taken aback. "I can tell. I'm mean, and inconsiderate." Byakuya said it so she wouldn't have to. "N-No!" she recognized that stutter anywhere.
"Touko i still treat you like the common dirt you think you are." Byakauya held her left hand "Lets move to the side for a minute." Touko nodded and stepped off to the side with Byakuya, he got down to one knee and touko looked confused. "Didn't we already say we-" Byakuya cut her off. "Stop talking."
He pulled a small ring box out and flicked it open. "Touko Fukawa. You are the best thing i have been graced with. Marry me." There was a hint of uncertainty at the end of the sentence. "Yea, Byakuya we a-"
"So Yes?" she rolled her eyes and nodded. Togami rose and slipped the ring on her finger and the box in her purse. "I needed to properly engage to you if you must know."
Touko nodded still a little confused but Byakuya startled her with a forceful kiss. "I was accepted by the future foundation," Byakuya stared off. Touko beamed a wide smile appearing on her face. "Thats great! Congratulations!" Byakuya looked down. "I have to um. Leave." Touko froze, locking up, feeling her knees buckle but only to be caught by Togami's arms.
"A-again?"
"Listen, Fukawa-" Touko cut him off "No... We.., I waited." Tears fell from her eyes, mixing with the rain. Byakuya sighed. "I'll come back to you we just need to be patient." Touko gathered herself and looked at Byakuya.
"D-don't you dare look away from me.." Byakuya wiped her face although it was pretty pointless. "Wh-Where do you have to go?" Touko forced a smile, trying her damnedest to be supportive.
Togami sighed. "America for a few months." Touko saw a glimpse of hope. "It's only a few months then." she assured. "But i could get extended to stay there for a few years." Touko hugged him tightly, afraid to let him go. "W-when do you leave?" Byakuya sighed. "Next week."
Byakuya felt clearly ashamed. "Let's keep walking o-okay?" he nodded. "I'll see you again right?" he nodded again leading her back to the sidewalk the two starting to walk in silence again. "Promise me you'll take me to a fancy dinner or somthin' when you come back." he nodded again.
So, there the two went, walking in the pouring rain in dead silence to them, Byakuya contemplated his choice but knew that a woman was the worst thing that could hold him in one place. Fukawa saw this coming of course but it's still a shock y'know.
