"Ah well, just when we thought it was all over."

Adithya's voice echoed in the police car as it went down the road. "There I was yesterday, celebrating because this rotten case was over, and here we go again."

Sourav turned back to look at Adithya from the front seat. "Well, we should be proud that we are handling such an important case, man."

"Bleh" said Adithya. "This is just ridiculous though. Why on earth does he want you to question him?"

"I have no fucking clue man" said Sourav.

It must have been around 10 PM on the previous night when Sourav had received a call from the CBI, who were supposed to be working the case. The call had a weird request. He had been asked to interrogate Paul Mathews. The reason behind was even more startling, because Paul wanted Sourav to interrogate him.

Sourav casually stared ahead out of the car. Why? Why him? Sure, he had worked on the case for about a year, but why?

"Am I the only one who's excited about this?" said Vikram with a cheeky smile from behind. "This is my first case."

"Well this sure is one hell of a way to kick off your career mate" said Adithya. "Talk about making an impact."

Vikram smiled. Well this indeed had been a dream come true for him. To work on such an important case, and that too this early was quite a remarkable start.

The car came to a halt in front of what seemed to be a huge black gate. Vikram peeked out of the car. In bold letters above the gate was written "Sardar Patel High Security Prison".

"Well, well, well, we're here" exclaimed Adithya.

A security officer came out from inside the gate to take a good look at the people in the car. Sourav smiled at him. The guy came near the car and took a good look at the people in the car. He gave a nod of approval to Sourav and headed back in to open the gates.

There were four people inside the car. It was Sourav, Vikram, Adithya and their driver. Dinesh was staying behind at the station along with all the other cops. These three were to handle this entire mess involving Paul Mathews.

The car drove into the prison and stopped in front of the main building. Sourav stepped out of the car. He couldn't help but admire the size of the prison. It was pretty big.

"Huge huh" said Adithya. "Never have I ever arrested anyone dangerous enough to be put in this prison."

"Well, neither have I" said Sourav. "Come on."

They approached the main door where there was a policeman who seemed to be waiting for them.

"Follow me" said the policeman as he led them inside.

As the three of them walked in, they realised that it was one of the finest jails that they had ever been too. It was very, very big.

"You are the second group of people here to interrogate this asshole" the policeman who was guiding them said. "Yesterday, a couple guys from the CBI were here."

"What happened with that?" asked Sourav.

"Haha, that lasted much shorter than you'd think" said the policeman chuckling. "Apparently he'll only cooperate with you."

Sourav didn't reply. He was deep in thought. It had been just one day since the psychopath had turned himself in. It was only two days ago when he had decided to turn up at his house. In the 24 hours following that a lot of things had happened; from him immediately being brought to court to the first round of interrogation.
