If I should colour my pain on the canvas of life
with shiny hues highlighting my strife
on blue days,grey will paint my grief
and a splash of yellow for joy though so brief
Silver tears I had shed to tone and lustre
and make my sorrow through the years glitter
my weakness I will leave opaque
and detail the strength it took to heal my heartache
If I could colour again my life on a canvas
my tenacity I will coat in pigments of brightness
as valued and enigmatic as the Mona Lisa
I will blush in Red my courage, power and charisma.
