NICKNAMES. /
O1 — our hero, since his name sounds exactly like hero in chinese, some of his friends would jokingly call him their hero.

O2 — sheep / yang ( 양 ), a lot of his friends tease him with that since he held a presentation about new zealand once, but ended up talking about sheeps for 15 min straight.

O3 — mars, besides being CHAOREN's english name, it's also his nickname since he was always very fascinated with the universe.

O4 — xiao ling ( 小灵 ) ; a lot of relatives and family friends call him that since his father's name is 沛霖 ( pei lin ; named after the politician 吴沛霖 also known as 凌云, lingyun ) and CHAOREN always mispronounced the lín as líng making it sound like 沛灵. And since a lot of people call him a smaller version of his father, XIAO LING was born ( people call his father DA LIN ). What started as an inside joke was soon used more often than his real name.

"TRIVIA. /
❭ volunteers at animal shelters and tutors kids in chinese and science for free CHAOREN is a very kindhearted person and loves to help others, sometimes he would put their needs over his. He would also spend time at a foster home, which a friend of his family managed, CHAOREN would play with the kid their and also help them with their homework.

❭ CHAOREN used to be the bass-player and vocalist of a rock band, formed by some of his friends and him. The band still exists, but CHAOREN isn't a part of it anymore since he moved to Shanghai in order to pursure an idol career, but they still chat with each other and he still considers them as one of his closest friends. When he announced that he would go and pursue an idol career, they gifted him an acoustic guitar since his broke a few weeks earlier and throw him a party, that he never actually attended. His friends thought he did though, they were probably too drunk to realize.

❭ He used to busk on the streets in order to earn a bit of extra money since he was born into a pretty poor family CHAOREN didn't want to rely on his parents regarding money, so he also has a part time job next to his traineeship. When a friend of his told him about busking, he immediately thought that it was a good opportunity to gain some experience and help him improve his skills. He also hoped to gain some extra cash through that.

❭ CHAOREN got casted by yuehua at the age of 14 while delivering pizza, but since he was somewhat intimidated by the person that casted him, he started crying and because of embarrassment he ran away. Then almost a year later, he got casted again, this time by fantagio during a music competition, where he placed first place. Learning from his past mistakes, he didn't ran away this time and successfully passed the audition."

"❭ He feels absolutely nothing on his pinky, ring finger and middle finger, due to an injury on one of his nerv. CHAOREN cut himself while he punched against a glass wall, thinking he was going to punch air. The doctor told him that in a few years he should be able to feel something again.

❭ found his love for music at a very young age since his mother is a music teacher, that teaches various instruments, like the piano or the guitar and also how to sing. That's also why he knows how to compose and play the guitar, piano and drums. CHAOREN was probably his mom's biggest fan and as he grew older he would still spend a lot of time with her. She was also the one who taught him how to sing and encouraged him to try to audition for various entertainment.

❭ has been dancing ballet since he was 4, CHAOREN is very confident in dancing, when he got older he also switched to street dance. CHAOREN is focusing on popping and locking, he likes ballet more though.
