Shameful I stand
Listening as your hurtful words land
Fighting the urge to yell back
But that would land me in the enemy shack
After that, you wouldn't make my life easy
Telling people lies about getting sleazy
Ruining my chance at a fresh start
Continuously breaking my heart
This preconceived idea of me
Is not who I wanted to be
But who you created me as
Being treated like a prisoner from Alcatraz
You're holding me back from the greatness I can achieve
Proving that it would be best for me to just leave
Shameful I stand
Praying to be saved by God's hand.
