Moving In And Settling Down

It was a nice house I guess, definitely better than our little farmhouse we were just living in.  It had a two car garage,  with light and dark brown bricks. When you walked in the French doors to your right was the big kitchen and to the left was the dinning room and stairs behind it. One set went up and one went down. The kitchen counter tops were all made of granite, there was a big Island in the middle. Behind it a little sitting room with a flatscreen tv and fireplace, with more french doors to the right that led to a big porch that stretched the whole back of the house with a hot tub under it and an in ground pool, which I know Jack will enjoy very much.

It just didn't feel the same, it didn't feel like home. At the other house, I could look around and a memory would flash up in my mind. Back home I could walk into the living room and remember all the times my Dad, Mom, Jack and I had movie night every Friday. But I'm hoping we can make new and even happier memories here together.

My room was unlike anything I had ever seen. There's a queen sized bed in the middle of the room and above is a little loft area. Directly at the end of the bed is you guessed it more french doors that lead out to a balcony or porch that looks out over the the small woods. The walls are painted the perfect shade of green, which is my favorite color, I am already in love with it.
