Tawfik Adams recognized the efforts of the teachers as Assistant Principal

Assistant principals in a school have to wear multiple hats. They are solely responsible for supporting the principal in the administrative operations of the school. Besides, they directly supervise the special events as well as hallways. They are also tasked with handling the school discipline. Indeed, it is the stepping stone to the job of a principal. Some schools recruit assistant principals who are responsible for specific duty day-to-day tasks.

Being an assistant principal demands various responsibilities including supervising the instructional as well as non-instructional staff. He also manages the student behavioral issues along with those referred by the teachers. He shares the responsibilities for setting and meeting the budget of the school and keeps track of all the activities.

Holding these responsibilities effectively, the assistant principals need to have strong organizational skills as they have to juggle a number of high priority tasks. As a former Assistant Principal, Tawfik Adams cared about the teachers as he believed that it helps improve the cooperation and give him more positive outlook. He made his best efforts to recognize the efforts of the teachers and then figured out how to translate these efforts into success.

Formerly working as the assistant principal at Bladensburg High School, Tawfik Adams helped in providing the leadership for the overall instructional programs that included selection and hiring of support and instructional staff. Besides, he assisted in the development and communication of administrative policies dealing with the academic, discipline and attendance.

In 2011, Tawfik Adams served as Assistant Principal at Oxon Hill High School where he represented the school within community forums for the purpose of maintaining ongoing community support for educational goals. He also assisted with the issues related to school environment.

Apart from an Assistant Principal, Tawfik Adams gained various skills to make successful administrative career. He has always been highly objective, organized and a problem solver. Besides, he is highly passionate about education, thus making a sustained difference.
