My name is Elise Gherry, and I have recently turned 20. I have jet black hair that I've dyed the ends lavender and teal. I am a bit tall for my age, but not too crazy. I have brown eyes and I have a pair of RayBan reading glasses.
My style isn't anything too crazy. I usually just throw on a solid tee with jeans, my converse, and a jacket.
Oh, and I'm deaf, by the way. I was born deaf, which is the most boring way to get it. I wish I could've at least lost my hearing from the most amazing, loudest, coolest concert. But no, I just had to be born deaf.
I'm as interesting as a deaf girl can get. Having conversations with people is hard because I can't have a flowing talk with anyone. I've learned a few small phrases from lip reading, but other than that, I don't hardly talk at all. What's the point of it if you can't hear yourself? So I guess you can say I'm deaf and mute. I mostly just text people or sit next to them with a notepad and a pencil. I also know sign language, but the only people who cared enough about me to learn it was my mom and Liam. Dad would've probably learned it, too, that is, if he wasn't dead.
He died in a car wreck when I was 9. I think the scarier part of that was that I was in the back seat. The car came from the left, so my dad was hit directly and I wasn't. Death stared me right in the face that day, and it still haunts me. My dad didn't deserve it. He was smart, funny, and he cared about me and Mom more than he cared about his own life.
I've lived in Illinois my whole life, and my life finally got more interesting when Mom let me move to Chicago with Liam. Liam is my best friend that I've known since middle school. He learned sign language for me, so it's easy for us to communicate, fortunately. He's like a brother to me, and he would do anything to keep me safe.
When Liam and I decided to take a road trip to Toronto to meet some of his YouTube buddies, I made some friends myself. They go by TheCampingRusher, ChildDolphin, and Graser. They are all so interesting, and I may have even fell for one of them. But who could love a boring deaf girl like me?
Let's face it, I'll never have love that is that Unconditional.

By the way, there was a story I read a while back that inspired me to start this: What Happiness Looks Like by sunnypak. It is a CaptainSparklez ff and it is so good.

So yea, go check that out if you're into Mr. Sparklez •~•
Vote on this prologue if you are excited for it to start! It will also spread this story around and that's good too :)
